    Damn...

That new retina display on the 15" macbook pro is insane. that's all I gotta say about that.

I just hate how everything is soldered in and not upgradeable unless you do surgery on them with special tools. Always like the macbooks though, and OS-X because of the *unix architecture.

  4. Apparently there was one massive NT at 1.2475 that was to go off this week. Suckage. I was long the 1.215//1.248 DNT expiring EOW as well, but covered that yesterday at 1.236. I had a a long DNT on USDCAD that went off this morning. .9830 was the downside KO and it survived by 10 pips.

  5. I have the retina MBP and I love it. I have only used it to watch movies as I use a 13" as my primary laptop. 8GB is more than enough for my purposes, and the SSD seems quick. Tired of lugging around a laptop and babying it bc of the disk (older MBP).

The fan on my 13" is constantly running when running youtube, etc., but the retina is dead-quiet. I have only heard the fan once when my son was playing minecraft on it.

Damn man, would have got you by 8 pips! oh well, least you got the CAD. That was just a single NT no hedge?

  7. IIRC UBS shows the daily low as 9840. Had another at 9855 which survived earlier in the week by 5 pips. Tripled my exotics account in the last two months, but losses on those two CAD bets would've taken me back to B/E.

AFAIK it was a long NT hedged with spot. Tough call; do you attempt to defend the KO or add to hedge? Obviously in the EURUSD it's unlikely you're going to enter into a barrier defense strategy, and it's highly likely that the bear was hedged from the outset.

Climbing in Yosemite tomorrow so I won't be posting much this week. Will have the retina MBP with me.

8GB should be plenty kickass for almost anyones purposes unless they are doing some crazy video design work or something of that nature.

Do you connect the 13" to external displays for charting?

Another cool thing about Macs is they work so well with the Apogee stuff which is badass, basically made for macs.

On the PC side I have RME and Lynx which is right there also, but I really am thinking about going MBP. Just need to make sure Nuendo/Cubase DAW software runs ok on it, heard some crap about it.

Nice work! Good point on the defense strat, thanks for the view on that. Yea, agreed, I would think the bear would probably not defend much on a market this short because the only reason to break towards that level would be on some positive sentiment + a squeeze and 2500+ is the obvious target there.

    Enjoy the climb bro.

btw I heard it has to touch a level on 3 different platforms on exotics is that true?
