Continuation Probabilities

    Great comparison.

    Let's take it one step further. The last time the Lakers swept their way to the finals, they were swept by the Eastern Conference Champs (Pistons at the time). Does anyone want to bet that the Lakers would lose the finals?

    Isn't it similar to "The last time we had seven up days in the market the market went down. Is tomorrow going be a down day since the market went up seven days in a row?"

    At least if you bet the Lakers to lose at home in the finals, you should get at least 3:1 odds. And probably 10:1 to lose the finals :).
