Wow...with that detailed logic I am surprised they dont put corks on your forks to make sure you dont poke your eyes out.
Other way round. He was a complete and total rnc dud headed nowhere so he took a reckless risk to try to up the game a bit. Except the dog he picked could not hunt. His fallback plan was to pick Joe Lieberman, a democrat. What could go wrong there?
McCain had a surge when he first picked Pailin and was even leading in some polls over Obama, inculding an NBC poll. The more she spoke and people got to know here, McCain slid down the slope further and further. So many fuck ups on her part that much like the blown pass interference call against the Rams 2 weeks ago, we cannot say it definitely cost him the election but took away areal chance to win.
I suppose we can all argue about whether or not McCain was a good candidate or not, but I would take issue that he, or any other republican had a chance in hell of winning in 2008. Wasn't anyone with a R behind there name going to win that year given the state of domestic affairs economically, and a war weary nation. Palin was just a desperation move when he realized how far behind he really was, and that just buried him deeper.
Sarah Palin did not lose the election. John McCain did. He did not connect with voters and did not take the fight to Obama. Neither did Romney. --Trump on the other hand fought hard and won. Pay attention.
Okay well, every candidate would like to be able to lock in the high point of their campaign, except it doesnt work that way. You might be up one day and in the shitter the next. Palin made McCain look smart for at least a couple days. then WOMP.......womp.......womp.
No. She isnt but people liked McCains pick for a brief period and that made him look like he had made a smart choice for a few days. I never said she was smart. You are the one who said he got a surge right after he picked her and i said it last a couple days. Before long, neither one of them was lookin smart.
