I wonder if anyone here can tell me what long term effects if any the increase in public debt will have on the strength of the dollar and on domestic markets.

 

You don't have to wonder, just pull up a chart over the last 15 years.

 

Effect: up down till we no longer have the most powerful military. Then mostly down.
