  2. Your lower strike should be 52.5, not 53.5.

  6. The probability on IRBT appears to be only 60% which seems lower than your usual picks.

    #1016     Jul 22, 2015
  7. yes it is lower. But this is a long trade (548 days) and I am really comparing it to buying the stock. As the time frame gets longer the usefulness of the probability calculations is much less.

    This trade is like buying the stock but with much better parameters.

    Also it remains to be seen if I can get a fill within these numbers.

    Alternate Trade:
    Sept 115/120 bear call spread for a net credit of $55
    Yield = 55/445 = 12.4% in 57 days or 79% annualized
    Prob = 67%

    130.00.............. (445.00)............... -87.60%
    150.00.............. (445.00)............... -87.60%

    Option pricing does not favor either one of these trades. The chart and my view that the market is overbought makes me favor the bear call spread. I may take the bear call spread purely on the basis of the chart and the P/E, even though the options are not fairly priced. I'll try to get $60 or $65 for the spread.
