    From an email I got.

George Washington statue is hidden at the MLK rally in Columbia , SC

The annual MLK observance at the state house in Columbia SC had an interesting twist this year. The event is held on the north side steps of the statehouse. Prominent at that location is a large bronze statue of George Washington.
This year, the NAACP constructed a "box" to conceal the father of our country from view so that participants would not be 'offended' by his presence. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this picture of the MLK Day rally in Columbia , South Carolina .
This rally was sponsored by the NAACP and they said that they covered the statue because they "didn't want to offend anyone". Really? George Washington is the father of this nation. How is he offensive to anyone? Can you imagine what would happen if we covered the statue of Dr. Martin L. King on President's Day? Or is only the statue of a 'white guy' offensive ??
Of course, this display of anti-Americanism wasn't covered at all by the National media (surprise, surprise !!), and the local paper in Columbia only ran a short piece on it. It has been covered a little by the blog-world but I think the word needs to get out to the general public that this is what the
NAACP is all about...militant and (most definitely) racist.

Will America be a better and freer country three decades from now if the children who turn four in this decade spend most of their waking hours with members of a government teachers union rather than with their moms?

President Barack Obama's vision of America, not surprisingly, starts with very young children spending their time in the custody of government employees.

"I believe we should start teaching our kids at the earliest ages," Obama said last week.

When he used the word "we" here, Obama was not talking about Michelle and himself, he was talking about the government. When he used the words "our kids," he was not talking about his own children — who attend the most expensive private school in Washington, D.C. — he was talking about other people's children and grandchildren.

What Obama wants, quite literally, is their souls.

Apparently Sheila Jackson Lee thinks the Constitution is 400 years old. Look, it’s fruitless (and cheap) to harp on someone’s innocent gaffe or faux pas. I get it. But this wasn’t a gaffe. This was in a speech. Ostensibly a somewhat prepared speech. Remember, this is the same woman who thinks that hurricanes should be given “black-sounding” names and that Americans landed on Mars in 1969 etc...

You know how Chris Matthews gets a thrill up his leg when Obama's rhetoric soars to unprecedented heights from the television monitors at MSNBC? Seth Meyers undergoes a full-body thrill whenever Rachel Maddow is in the same zip code.

Maddow appeared on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" Tuesday for an interview that quickly degenerated into Meyers essentially revealing he's a lesbian trapped in a man's body and that he and Maddow would make a wonderful couple, they really really would.

A clearly worried Chris Matthews attempted to rally the Democratic Party to avoid a midterm massacre, openly suggesting that the party's goals should be "angering" voters with "scary" Republicans. On Thursday morning, the MSNBC anchor conceded that the U.S. Senate will go Republican in November. By Thursday night, he pivoted, lecturing Democrats: "...You can give the angry voter out there something really scary to vote against, a direction to really direct his or her anger."

NBC, ABC, and CBS marked the one-year anniversary of Pope Francis being elected leader of the Catholic Church with positive stories about the Pontiff's personal style while impatiently pleading for him to reject the moral values he swore to uphold.

The left in America constantly points out that Americans are fat and lazy, the young are demanding and selfish, and the women care only about their birth control and abortion. They complain that the white man is racist, the industrialist should be crucified, the rich are out to get us all, and inequality is the central concern of the American people.

They divide us into groups and then point out our differences. They incite jealousy and produce anger. It's like a constant dental pick at an abscessed and inflamed tooth, poking and scraping until we are all in so much pain we lash out.

They always point out the difference, not the similarity; the negative, not the positive; all the bad and none of the good, and we're sick and tired of it...
