Conservative Mind Set & Conspiracy Theories

  1. i'll admit i jumped the gun with the mrbill stuff.. i just went through some of his posts and you two don't post alike. you are oldtime though, no?

and no, I don't figure 'they' are out to get me. i (and many other people) have observed that we are losing our fundamental freedoms in the US. If you know anything about our history, then you know that is 100% fact. and it has absolutely nothing to do with the psychobabble garbage u and ricter were spewing.

  3. if you go by my 50/50 plan

the poor are a huge burden to the economy

and the fewer of them you have, the better

  4. I guess it just depends on how you look at it

You can either help the poor

    Or eliminate them

As for me and my family, we'd just as soon eliminate them all

  5. but to do that, it's probably going to cost you some money

and when it's all said and done, about half of them will still be poor

  7. so I guess if you are liberal, you have agreed with Jesus that "the poor will always be with you" and you try to do whatever you can to make their life less miserable

  9. at anyrate, that's just my round about way of saying, when it comes to making money, you need to be a hardcore conservative, with a conservative mind set, and suspicious of anyone who has a new idea, because they have been tried over the centuries and always failed.

But when it comes to the poor, you need to throw out all your theories on competition, and free markets, because the war on poverty, like the war on drugs is just doomed to failure.

The poor will always be with you. There is no curing them. No economist can figure out a way to eliminate them.

So you have to be hardcore when it comes to making money and bleeding heart liberal when it comes to the poor.

So getting back to OP, the "conservative mindset" works just fine until it comes to the problem of the poor.

and you can raise the min wage to $50/hr and give them all 70k/year, and they will still be with you.

So quit trying to "cure" poverty, or waging a war on it, spend all your time and energy trying to figure out how to make more money, and just accept that the two must always exist together.

  10. and it wouldn't bother me one iota if someday they said about the good old USA

"It's a real bitch trying to make a living there, but it's a creamy place to be poor."

"But if you can make it in USA, the rewards are outstanding."

and that is why I am all for wealth disparity
