So you actualy believe if obama could snap his fingers and make all the guns in america disappear he wouldnt do it? Wow, you really are delusional.
No. He would not do it. Sheesh. You need to calm down. Take a pill. Get a bit of reality for Pete's sake. Stop listening to right wing propaganda and hysteria.
Piezoe, you don't really believe this shit do you? First of all, let's make some corrections to this article before we get started. The author of that article is primarily talking about libertarians, not republicans. And most libertarians do NOT consider themselves conservative. Which pretty much invalidates the entire article. The conservative implies a cultural system of beliefs which most libertarians do not adhere to or at least want the government to adhere to. My next point is, yes, libertarians have a lot of conspiracy people under their tent. Part of that is the fact that most libertarians do not consider themselves to be a member of a group and follow the logic of group think so they are naturally suspicious of all power, all collective groups, and both the right and the left. The irony of course is that the "conservative mind" as the author calls it, is probably the complete opposite of what he describes. Most "conservatives" are apathetic, not interested, unmotivated, etc. It's precisely the reason why the Alex Jones of the world and the Ron Pauls and even the tea party rose to prominence. They broke away from the uncaring, apathetic, typical conservative. Next point, just regarding who has more conspiracy theorists in terms of center right vs center left, I would say the left has faaaaaar more. I think it started during the Vietnam war. The whole counter culture movement and the distrust of government started on the left, not the right. Then you have the assassination of JFK and RFK, Martin Luther King and the resignation of Richard Nixon. All these events became the genesis of the left wing conspiratorial mind. Fast forward to the present time. You have liberals that believe George H Bush was involved in bringing cocaine into this country and into the black communities to kill off blacks. You have lefties who believe AIDS was created by republicans in government to kill of blacks and gays. You have the left who features prominently in the 9/11 truther movement. They actually believe Bush jr blew up the WTC and orchestrated the entire event. Then move forward to the occupy wall street movement. Pretty much conspiracy central. Oh and btw, when Bush was in power (jr) they firmly believed he would start another war before elections in 2008 and declare a state of emergency and cancel the upcoming elections. I could go on and on and on. Now, are there conspiracies on the right? Sure, there are. But honestly, I dismiss a lot of them as simply a hatred for all things Obama. Center right people are passive by nature and generally follow the status quo. That's why lefties are out in full force protesting everything under the sun from genetically modified foods to war for oil. It's never ending. It's in their nature to have extreme beliefs. Funny how this article was written now and not when Bush was in power because he would have been hard pressed to find anyone on the right believing in conspiracies and the left would have overwhelmed him with case studies. So to sum up, this article was so far off the mark, I don't know how it got passed the editor. Please feel free to debate me on anything I posted above, you know all that shit is true. Which makes me wonder how you could be so obtuse to post it.
Thank for providing even more proof of the gullibility, uncritical thinking, willingness to believe anything that goes along with your paranoid conspiracy fantasies, and just plain stupidity of right wing nut-jobs like yourself. Too funny. You can't make this stuff up. Oh wait..... http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/unoda.asp Although UNODA is a real office within the United Nations, it has not created a "Civilian Weapons Confiscation Study Group" with the goal of disarming civilians in member nations. The document shown above is a fabricated one, as evidenced by its invalid document number (A/CN.11/L72) and the fact that the bar code and QR code shown at the bottom of the document (which uniquely identify a UN document) match those of a completely different document. This image is actually an altered version of an older document (A/CN.10/L.70) from October 2012 which simply announced an upcoming substantive session of the Disarmament Commission to be held in April 2013: Read more at http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns...gB0eYgTG9oxx.99 I immediately knew something was fishy with this. But unlike dumb, crazed righties, I have some critical thinking ability. And it was so easy to check. But you nut-jobs want to believe it so you don't look any further about these things. I'm embarrassed for you.
Everyone from Obama to various democratic congressmen to various liberal tv personalities to media magazines to the nefarious Media Matters organization itself says: "any thought that liberals want to take guns away is nothing but âfearmongering.â Virtually all of the usual democratic suspects use this line or something close to it. Yet Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is the acknowledged Senate democrat point person for gun control and who never leaves the issue for long, said this, on camera: <b>âIf I couldâve gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them â Mr. and Mrs. America turn âem all in â I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes werenât here.â</b>? How can the whole liberal cabal say nobody wants to take your guns when their point person on gun control has publicly made this statement? Maybe i should say how can they make that statement and sleep at night. And Feinstein has plenty of support for her position around the country, including in various state gov't positions.
"Last November, Obama's campaign told the Chicago Tribune that "Obama believes the DC handgun law is constitutional." After Obama's statement yesterday supporting the Supreme Court striking down the ban, Obama's campaign disowned the statement as an âinartful attemptâ to characterize his position. The problem is that he personally voiced support for the DC ban at other times. Earlier this year, he did this himself, not something that he could blame on a staffer. ABC 7's Washington, DC anchor Leon Harris asked Obama: "One other issue that's of great importance here in the district as well is gun control. You said in Idaho recently - I'm quoting here - 'I have no intention of taking away folks' guns,' but you support the D.C. handgun ban." Obama's simple response: "Right." When Harris said "And you've said that it's constitutional," Obama is clearly caught on tape nodding his head yes." http://www.foxnews.com/story/2008/07/01/john-lott-reaction-to-dc-gun-ban-decision/
Only a moron like futures currents would believe that an elitist east coast liberal from chicago who has never even touched a gun like Obama would not take away all guns if given the chance. Hell im sure if you asked him off the record he would tell you his socialist utopia would include an america with no guns, except for military and law enforcement. Its not as if most big city liberals hide that belief. Its not as if they arent already doing everything in their power to get rid of all guns in cities like chicago and new york, they just dont come out and say it on the campaign trail because they know it doesnt sell in middle america.
That document does appear to be a fake. For the record I hate when anyone on either side of any argument fabricates anything not true. This IS true however. Obama Administration Signs United Nations Arms Trade Treaty September 25, 2013
For what record ??? Nobody is paying attention to this insane forum except for the inmates. Yeah I know I know I'm one of the inmates too. But I'm trying to get out.
