no I'm declaring that patents being filed are bullshit, insignificant or at best not significant enough to save the developed countries' failing asses and that there is no guarantee that a technological breakthrough will take place, one which can change the failing course these so called developed countries are falling through
past is no proof of what will come in the future, even if it were; for the last 20 years what significant technological advancement has the world seen that can prove to us that we will continue to see technological advancements that will save the day?
I think if you try to become more familiar with technology you will understand that many breakthroughs are along the way and the fact that America has exclusive in some key areas, such as bioengineering and medical technology. The next breakthroughs will be in the energy area but only after the oil companies have taken maximum advantage of remaining oil reserves and invest their proceeds in the new projects.
A good way to evaluate a coutry is by its culture and manners nuff said America ? (oh yeah go on - call up Batman !! ) lol you reap what you sow on this planet and the crappy US "culture" that has spread like a virus around the world has its limitations - especially greed Not that there aren't some things I personally like about some of the stuff eg computers, some music and er ?
search engines existed more than 20 years ago, enhancing available technologies to better fit needs is not breakthrough innovation blind? haha, you know who's blind; americans are blind, they can't see all the obvious indications pointing to the inevitable total fuckup of this country
empty promises bullshit ... americans are so fucking slow, so fucking slow ... it takes them decades to go from research to practice, that is if the research was valid in the first place and was not some random bullshit put together just to receive funding and more empty promises keep dreaming
Sure there will be techno breakthroughs but the sad fact remains companies like Ford etc will have to produce mundane products ever cheaper/better quality to sell onto an international market. The West must adapt and compete or its game over on an ever slippery down slope imho
Information technology and other advances in computers will continue to be the advancements that lead us to higher productivity levels. Quantum computers in our lifetime most definitely will.
advancements (note; no serious breakthroughs) in IT within the last two decades helped speed the transfer of knowledge and information from one nation to another, you can rest assured that it not only did not give developed countries a competitive edge but was of more benefit to developing countries than to developed countries for instance, I have seen developing countries that have a far superior online banking system than that of any US bank, we are in the 21st century and yet money transfers take 3 days to clear in america, in most other countries there is no delay, this is only one example ... it is because of paranoia and stupidity that governments come up with policies that paralyze their systems there is no evidence to support that statement, that is merely a wish, a dream, a hope, the type Obama gives you, unlike what Disney has taught you; all dreams don't come to life, most of the time humans take their dreams with them to their graves
