Cons Not Racist Edition: Texas 8th-graders asked to list positives of slavery

Discussion in 'Politics' started by exGOPer, Apr 22, 2018.

  1. Probably not the best way to present the material considering the polarized times we live in. None the less students need to learn how people can deceive themselves into thinking something as terrible as slavery can be beneficial to them. Of course that does expose the natural progression from slavery to socialism which would be problematic for leftists to explain.

Stupid Libs. So predictable with the Trump U bullshit.

No doubt the next step of the ultra liberal education system will be to wipe the historical record completely.

    Because that’s what leftists do...

Ya, it's such bullshit that the messiah started a fake university, made bullshit claims, targeted single mothers and other desperate people, conned them and then was made to pay millions in damages by the court.

That's what conservative education looks like unlike the 'ultra liberal education' system which says don't be a racist retard promoting benefits of slavery.

Is it any wonder that red states are hell holes of inbreeding, thievery and morons who can't get jaabs and are reduced to producing meth in trailers.

  7. They crack me up. I was in a hotel in Medellin in 2015, this cantankerous retired civil engineer SOB called Bob was going on about Hitler and stuff to annoy a German man with good English etc. etc. classic mention the war stuff.

Anyway he got steaming drunk on rum and started singing a song about sending all the ungrateful niggers in America back to Africa in leaking ships bla bla. The Germans & everyone left. I was nonplussed but explained I was trying to work and would drop him down the four floors in a minute. He then raged into me for being Irish and not supporting white people after "all they did to help the IRA". It is at that point you just go to bed yourself.

Next day when the receptionist was trying to explain why he was not being turfed out but could he please not get dunk like that again, he apparently sincerely said he was absolutely not racist to blacks so he was being treated unfairly and wanted to complain about them (the Germans).

Can you imagine actually living in America with Bob? Holy hell that would be awful.

I grew up in Texas and we didn't shy away from the fact slavery brought economic prosperity to the south via cotton and tobacco farming.

We also learned wwi brought about employment in post depopulated france, and experiments in wwii prisoners are the only detailed records we have of how people die under certain conditions. Or how warfare has made space flight and satellite communications possible.

  9. I would have thought the issue would have been framed in terms of what were the arguments used to support slavery at the time? Of course, that is also dangerous, as they are the exact same arguments used to promote open borders and mass immigration now. Slaves did the work white people wouldn't do, and they did it at a low cost, provided you ignored the external costs their presence would impose on the country. But what is a half million killed if you keep farm wages down?

  10. That's Kryptonite. Reluctant to use "k" in case you might somehow automatically type 3 of them? By mistake, of course. :D
