In person is what I mean. Sure, retail traders are a private bunch. Still, it would be good to have trading 'colleagues', the way all normal working people do. The issue is how to reach out and find them.
Yeah, I gave you some tips on how to meet others in person. For me, I did such via software forum. To be specific, I posted a hookup message with my city location at the charting forum I was using. I met 7 traders in/nearby my city although this was done many years ago. I'm sure it must be much easier with twitter, stocktwits, facebook because these social media tools weren't available back then. P.S. Actually I met more traders than that but only 7 of them were like minded in how we viewed the markets. Eventually 5 of us rented an office...we traded together for several years.
Hi Wrbtrader, Thanks for your various posts, suggestions and contributions here on ET. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Should add, there's that expo here in nyc end of February. Is that worth checking out, for networking?
I'd like to go the office route, showed step daughter a few trades trying to get her to work with me (shes unemployable), made $155 area walking around the town, level of interest still limited sadly. Haven't got enough money to hire a zero to train up which is likely the way to go.
