I doubt he'd do well though. Somehow, "America's still the land of opportunity. Take advantage of it and make something of yourself" doesn't play as well with voters as "Vote for me. The colonel has got his roots in the wrong place. When the US marine got started in 1775, about 30 percent of its founders were slave owners. Those are not the good old days he should be honoring. If the colonel is ignorant about American history, what else is he ignorant about?
What this "brother" fails to grasp is that most of the people who are cheering him, think the best times in America were when people owned slaves... It was the government that ended slavery, not the slave owners... It was the government that gave blacks the right to vote and did away with Jim Crow laws, not the southerners... This guy is really no different than Obama, except his politics. He was 22 years in a government job (the military is a government job) and he has political ambitions (wants power)... He has listened to speeches of Denzel Washington (I'm sure of it, just listen to Denzel's speeches, cadence, hand and body language, etc...because for some reason whitely thinks good looking black guys are okay if they talk like whitey). Obama did the same thing on the other end of the spectrum. He listened to Dr. King's speeches, learned like a parrot to mimic them, and played upon the left wing's unrealistic hopes and dreams. This guy does exactly the same thing, plays upon the unrealistic hopes and dreams of the regressive brain impaired...he has learned to act in a manner that the audience roots for. All hat, no cattle...
