I have a hard time taking medical advice from a 300 pound orange dingbat who asked if the flu vaccine could be used on the coronavirus MULTIPLE times.
#WorseThanOsama #DrTrumpele https://www.newsweek.com/trump-clai...theyre-asking-i-dont-believe-you-need-1494599 TRUMP CLAIMS U.S. STATES DON'T NEED THE AMOUNT OF VENTILATORS THEY'RE ASKING FOR: 'I DON'T BELIEVE YOU NEED 40,000 OR 30,000' President Donald Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday evening that he believes that the coronavirus battle will not require the number of medical equipment pieces that have been requested by some states. Trump has been the subject of criticism over the distribution of medical equipment from federal stockpiles, with some state governors saying they do not have enough ventilators available to properly care for patients hospitalized with COVID-19. "FEMA says, 'we're sending 400 ventilators," New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said at a Wednesday news conference. "Really? What am I going to do with 40 ventilators when I need 30,000?" "I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said for some areas are just bigger than they're going to be," Trump said. "I don't believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, at a major hospital sometimes they'll have two ventilators. All of a sudden they're saying, 'Can we order 30,000 ventilators?'" "I haven't had to use [the DPA]," Trump said. "We had Ford step up, General Motors step up, 3M step up, so many companies stepped up and they're making vast amounts of things but when you talk about ventilators, that's sort of like buying a car. It's very expensive, it's a very intricate piece of equipment, heavily computerized and the good ones are very very expensive." "They say, like Governor Cuomo and others, we want 30,000 of them. 30,000!" Trump exclaimed. "You go to hospitals, they'll have one in a hospital and now all of a sudden everybody's asking for these vast numbers." "I don't think that certain things will materialize," Trump said, "a lot of equipment is being asked for that I don't think they'll need, but we're building four hospitals, four medical centers and many other things."
Like every narcissistic despot before him, he'll sacrifice hundreds, likely thousands, to maintain his brittle ego.
This is what the fucktard does not get: The task force found that in 2015, there were about 7,250 ventilators in New York hospitals and about 1,900 in nursing homes. But the vast majority of them were already being used. Even with the state’s own emergency stockpile, the group found there were only 2,800 available. Ventilators are used for people with breathing difficulties, those coming out of complicated surgeries, burn victims, or anyone with lung difficulties (COPD). Now add to that the number of Corona people who need it because the virus creates mucus in the lungs PLUS regular flu or pneumonia sufferers. I dont know if he needs 30,000 but any idiot can read the numbers and see why ventilators are almost all used during normal times, now imagine another 5,000 to 10,000 patients added in for Corona. You do not need to be in ICU to need a ventilator.
Trump personal attorney and confidant Rudy Giuliani posted a tweet featuring misinformation about the coronavirus and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, which was then deleted by Twitter because it violated the platform’s rules. On Friday, Giuliani tweeted direct quotes from dedicated Trump supporter Charlie Kirk, rather than retweeting him for some reason. Fact: those are not facts. Kirk and Giuliani appear to be riffing on an article posted by conspiracy blogger Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit, and which falsely claims that: “Hydroxychloroquine is safe and in at least three international tests was found 100% effective in treating the coronavirus.” — There have been extremely limited studies that aren’t scientifically significant, neither of which show the drug to be “100% effective.” One of the studies showed no benefit at all from the treatment. “Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer is the latest Democrat to ban doctors from prescribing the lifesaving drugs hydroxychloroquine and Z-Paks to save senior citizens in the state.” — Like many states, Michigan is warning prescribers not to hoard the medications for themselves by improperly self-prescribing. It’s literally the first sentence in the warning letter: The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has received multiple allegations of Michigan physicians inappropriately prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine to themselves, family, friends, and/or coworkers without a legitimate medical purpose. The letter also notes that the drug is not proven effective against Covid-19, and that improper prescribing may be “investigated”: Prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine without further proof of efficacy for treating COVID-19 or with the intent to stockpile the drug may create a shortage for patients with lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or other ailments for which chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine are proven treatments. Reports of this conduct will be evaluated and may be further investigated for administrative action. Prescribing any kind of prescription must also be associated with medical documentation showing proof of the medical necessity and medical condition for which the patient is being treated. Again, these are drugs that have not been proven scientifically or medically to treat COVID-19. As the letter notes, these prescribing practices are causing shortages of the drugs for patients suffering from ailments that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine are actually proven to treat. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump also cited a false Gateway Pundit article to attack a governor, in that case Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York. Trump is currently in a public feud with Cuomo and Whitmer over his response to the outbreak. https://www.mediaite.com/news/twitt...sinformation-and-false-attack-on-gov-whitmer/ Right wingers are dumb as fuck, baboons all of them
