For some reason I believe that he is an actual trader and just posts stuff here because he is just bored.
"Confession#2 is I believe very few people on this site actually make money." Absolutely true. And no, I don't make money consistently. Hey, give me points for honesty.
Good pt! Another thing that speaks volumes about most of those (not all) that "actively post" on ET....if i was the attention seeker many of you think, i would have started this year's 1000th poor me i tried so hard and now i'm giving up trading for good threads. People come out of the woodwork on those to be nice to the OP. Interesting how many more identify with that kind of post, but for some reason on a TRADING SITE (no less), very few believe someone who posts about actually doing well, and it angers some so much that anyone could make such a claim like that, they hawk the thread and bash it over and over and over and over....
hey Dave, there's really no way to "prove" it in a manner that I'd want to have floating around the internet. I would think some people would want to ask trading (or private jet) related questions while i'm still posting on a regular basis and the answers to those questions might be "proof" to some.
Stlouis, I fully believe there are super traders on here (you maybe one of them, I don't know yet). Of course it's a huge ego boost to them to come down here with us trading mortals who've slogged at this for years with no huge success. I'm not one of those angry people who hate people who succeed at this game. If I was a supertrader, I would DEFINITELY be on here, but not in an arrogant way. Arrogance would be a quick path to trading disaster in my opinion. For me, why do I still trade? Well, it's fun. No, I'm not a daytrader. I'm more of an investor. It's fun to profit off your intelligence in a very complex game that involves economics, geopolitics, socioeconomics, etc.
Ok, name the top 3 industries that were up percentage wise last week in the S&P 500. Why not post up a generic ticket like the one I posted? I guess you either dont have any or dont know how to plagarize someone else's tickets or dont know how to work photoshop.
This might be the only thing that Faderzones and I would agree on, but complying with that request wouldn't prove anything to anyone (except maybe you of course).
Dave, you seem like a good guy. I've been profitable in each of the last 7 yrs and once went 34 months straight w/o a loss. I've never made 8 figures in a year (that is my goal) and do not consider myself even close to being a super trader, tho I do aspire to continually improve and get to that point someday. There is a good chance there are eight (possibly even nine) figure traders on ET. There has to be at least a handful of seven figure traders here. I think it would be great if I could meet someone on ET that was a better trader than me and possibly learn from each other.
