Confessions of a successful trader

Discussion in 'Professional Trading' started by StLouisTrader, Sep 10, 2009.

  1. this is true, I sat next to a guy and watched him trade for 3 months, he made money every day except for 2 or 3 which were break even or down a little, he showed me his account statements and let me go over them.

one day after watching for more than 3 months I realized that he was really making money, and I believed him.

my point is that if it took me 3 months seeing with my own eyes before I believed that he was making money, then probably it's not possible to convince someone like me over the internet.

  2. ...and, at least over the internet, the only people who have any motivation to take time to "prove themselves" are the crooks and scam artists doing it to pick your pocket, i see why FaderZones goes after these folks and most of the time he's right, he's just not very open minded or selective about who might be the real deal. What is really interesting is that many of you are so stuck in the mode of "calling out the fakers", stevie cohen himself could show up on the site and post random thoughts for a month or so and most of you (not all) would get nothing out of it b/c you wouldn't believe him, and would spend all your time calling him a liar or whine about the tone of his posts rather than asking him questions to try to learn something from him. Interesting.

  3. I don't think he said he owned a private jet, there is a big difference. I have traded in some day-trading shops around some successful traders and I would hear them talking on the phone scheduling their private jets and talking about the cost.
I can't remember exactly (because I didn't really care) but I think it's cheaper to fly a private jet than to buy 4 first class airline tickets.
Maybe 3 maybe 5 I didn't pay that much attention.
At least I remember hearing several conversations around this subject.
So if more than that number of people were traveling they were actually saving money by renting a private jet.

The part I always thought was funny was that these guys are trying to save some money with their private jet. LOL
I always imagined that rich people didn't care.

  4. I'm just sayin'... u do not appear to be one of the "guys who do this for a living", so i'm not sure why you'd think to offer advice on how I should present myself to a group you are not part of...

  6. "open minded?" someone claims they are Elvis back from the dead, only the mentally simple should be "open minded."

You seem to think it is difficult to spot the frauds. In your case, it is relatively easy. Quite a few people have said the same thing. All you do is throw up flak and excuses.

Clever responses do not change the fact that you are a pathetic guru wannabe.

In other words, there is 0% reason to accept a self-proclaimed success story who is anonymous and starts a thread proclaiming his greatness and who runs away from everyone who challenges him/her and is unresponsive to direct questions.

The burden of credulity is entirely upon you. There is 0% reason to believe you UNTIL you prove your own claim.

In case you cannot do fractions, that is 0%. Not 5%, not 20%...

  7. I have posted quite a few trade tickets and made some suggestions on strategies and stocks with varying degrees of success in this forum.

I saw you post a few bad stock trades, a discussion about jets, but nothing more then that.

Can you post up a ticket to demonstrate that you do trade? A P&L statement?

I do make a living from trading. I win some, I lose some.

Here is a good example of a ticket if you dont know. Many of these types of tickets are frequently posted by the real traders on this site while people like yourself fake the funk and do whatever you do. I work very hard everyday to make this money and have put in my time and effort. Well, let me correct myself, quite a few of the tickets are obviously photoshopped or copied from other successful traders so even those are not concrete evidence at times.

Stop being a fraud, please. I dont want to hear about your jet, lets hear about your trades. Here is mine, where is yours?

  8. Oh Faderzones, I think ur my favorite troll, if for no other reason than for trying harder than everyone else. If I ever write a book, this thread would make a nice chapter. I'll do my best to remember your alias so u can give you proper credit.
