I got the same problem a year ago.

My problem was solved after I found that part of the Motherboard was touching the case (shortcut? - I believe thats the english word for this thing).

  5. it can also be some hardware conflict. My new PC was doing that (Win XP). Took out the DVD Writer. Not a single lockup, crash or reboot since then.

Did you check the system event log to see if any errors are reported?

It's usually a hardware issue (since bad vid drivers tend to lock-up, not randomly reboot). Either a faulty memory chip, a hairline crack in the motherboard, or some intermittent short.

My Computer shuts down every now and then and i finally attributed the problem to the computer overheating.

    Thx for the help.

Are several error messages under system log and application log looks like its related to ZA Pro somehow.
