Hi there, Talking from my own experience, there is no other way to get around except transfering her H1B visa, if that's what she has right now to another firm, which is willing to sponsor her. She has to do that in a window of 1 to 2 months maximum, provided that the first firm does not cancel the visa, in heart beat, cause the visa belongs to them !!!!!! If she has already applied for a green card on the basis of emloyment, and she has passed the labor department and the justice department (there are three phases for employment based green card) and she has applied for ajustment of status (I485) for more than 18 months, then she can switch employers without a problem.
