Did you really understand what the real thread subject is ? I think yes you understood the problem. Tell me is it normal ? as ...

*Making gentle words to the possible clients and send necessary documents for fillings. And guess what ? Once the funds received on the brokers pocket, they changed their gentle face into non-responsive fashion. And saying " We dont know when will your account is ready even they sent two e-mails ---
"Welcome to Interactive Brokers! Now that your account is funded, we would like to make you aware of some of the features and benefits of your IB account." and the long one ---

    Dear ... ...
"We have received your deposit for 4975.0 USD. These funds will become available in your account on 06-May-2005. If you are opening a new account, the funds will become available one business day later. It is not necessary to call us. Once your funds are available, they will appear in the "CASH TRANSACTIONS" section of your daily account statement, and you will see your funds displayed on your Trader Workstation (TWS).
If you have deposited funds by personal check, and in the future wish to receive prompt, full credit for deposits, you are encouraged to send funds by wire transfer or bank check.

IB shall place a ten (10) business day hold on incoming funds.
Accordingly, you will not be able to withdraw funds by check or wire transfer prior to the end of such ten (10) day period.

    GUESS WHAT HAPPEN NEXT ?

Today May 13th 2005. We are unable to login our live account yet. And worst is they told as they dont know when will it ready. They simply say they are in translation process of the proof of address for the 72 hours passed away. What a nice reputition.

THE POINT is --- They were too responsive and too gentle before the funds receiving. But once the funds transferred, they quickly turned into unclear situation.

SO WHAT DO you guys honestly think about that. I hope this will be the last reply from me. What a huge intelligent people around the Wall Street (2200 Page Views but nothing is said about the problem solving) even no one from the IB replied the hot thread.

Relax for a while 7th. I've got a strong suspicion that someone from IB will show up on this thread before the day is finished. They have probably just been too busy laughing their asses off to respond so far.

    Or.....Could it be that IB has left the planet with ALL OUR MONIES?????????:D :p :D :p :D :p :D :p :D

If your suspicion is on the right track about not replying this thread seriously, it simply means, the problem will be forwarded to many forums as we can even on the Chinese, Spanish, German, French languages forums. Think the total audience on the mentioned multi-national and other language based financial forums. Do you want to hear the number ? 10 million daily total. So ... in the worst case scenario ... these visitors will learn Barron's number 1 software based broker accept new clients funds with great care and gently ... and guess what will happen next for the international clients ... """" BIG UNCERTANITY """"" Your funds is on number 1's bank, but you were unable to trade for a week. And worst is, you still dont know when will your account is ready. YOU COMPLETELY in blocked situation ... etc.

If anyone on this board want to know what will happen on the next few days about this issue, let me know then I can forward the URL's of this forums threads. HOWEVER I hope, someone from the IB responds this thread first before acting this kind of mass publishing ...

I agree...You had to wait a week .... I would never tolerate such treatment...!

I'm sure you would have made a fortune if you had access to your money this week.

Demand your money back from IB PLUS all the lost "Profit" you would have made...!

    They can't be trusted.... :D

I don't think IB is scaming you...

I have opened more then one account and never had a problem.

You may have left out information or they need additional information from you for security reasons....

You said you had to send proof of address. When did you send it... Maybe they didn't get it yet...

In any event I would call them and ask if they require any additional documents to open your account....

You could even try contacting def here on this board for help and have heim look into the problem.

Overall, You need some patience...You are coming across as an eager newbie who just cant wait to start trading... Simply understand that because of where you live it may take a little while longer to open your account.

    All the best...

Blackmail is against the law in the United States and most other civilized countries. You may want to reconsider your position.

Your attitude is not likely to evoke any sympathetic responses from members here on ET.

Most experienced traders know that their funds or securities may be tied up a short time during transfers and so usually only transfer a portion of their capital at any one time so that funds are continually available for trading.

But its much easier to attack IB so please continue by all means.

Thanks for your help offer Nick. They already have the proof of address. They simply say they are translating it and dont know when will it done. So funds are received 6 May into IB's bank. Proof of address received on IB's staff at the start of the week. So the week passed away and we have no clear answer. Phone responses are always not gentle. Chat communications is nonsense. Fax the same . So the one thing that we can do is to publish our all problems into most respected financial forums. We are quite sure many IB clients and managers also read this forums and hope to hear serious people to give us a real explanation about it : WHY DID THEY ACCEPT our funds 7 days before ? AND WHY now they are so non-responsive ? We just need answers and rights as a small investor who are not new on financial worlds but new on U.S markets. Thanks anyway for your advices. Hope to hear a serious IB staff contact us via this forums before we acting serious cross publishing operations on multi-national forums.

    Best wishes,

  10. I was going to open an account with global when I start trading again. But after reading this thread I'm serously considering going with IB. They got to be doing something right since they're checking out 7thdim closley. If they refuse him an account and send the money back then for sure they will be my choice.

    $5000 grand WOW !!! , hope I can start out that big. :D :D
