And also,,, Like you have not twisted each of your delusions to arrive at the alex jones version which nicely comports with your twisted, conspiracy filled brain. http://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/donald-trump-and-the-amazing-alex-jones
Canada is a big country with a lot of empty space and pretty nice welfare benefits, including socialized medicine. If Nine Ender represents their views, you'd think they would be clamoring for more refugees.
Oh dear, I guess Canada is not quite so ready to take all those poor refugees fleeing oppression who were so callously blocked by Trump. After all, they will take an entire 16,000 this year. Obama has been trying to jam hundreds of thousand into the US, then of course they immediately send for people they claim to be family so the total increases geometrically. " The New Democrats on Tuesday called for Ottawa to enact a number of measures in response to the Trump order, including suspending the Safe Third Country Agreement, fast-tracking refugees into Canada in cases where their applications have been approved or were nearing approval by the United States, and accepting more refugees until the U.S. ban is revoked. But Mr. Hussen ruled out increasing the current refugees quotas. “We have an immigration plan that we intend to stick to,” he said. “If you look at the numbers of, for example, privately sponsored refugees that we have for 2017, it’s 16,000. That is a historic high, if you take out the exceptional year of 2016” when the government accepted large numbers of Syrians." http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/liberals-ndp-canada-refugees-trump-ban/article33846953/ Ironically, Canadian Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen is a Somali refugee himself. Now he's slamming the door in the face of other refugees, even as members of his government attack Trump.
Look, if Germany wants to argue with us over this, fine. For better or worse, they have already taken more than their share. But the sad truth is we would tell them we don't want to end up like you have. Actually, Obama very much did want that. It's among the reasons Trump won. Taking in more refugees into Canada is about as popular as an ebola epidemic. Minister Hussen was well aware of that.
Analysis Canadians aren't as accepting as we think — and we can't ignore it, writes Angus Reid Back in December, TV viewers around the world were treated to the scene of Justin Trudeau, Canada's new, youthful prime minister, greeting Syrian refugees as they disembarked from government planes in Toronto. These images no doubt reinforced the impression that many Canadians have of their country: That it's a welcoming land of enormous generosity that celebrates the diverse cultures and languages arriving at her door — unlike our neighbour to the south that produced the venomous Donald Trump and seeks to integrate newcomers into a homogenous "American" society. But the job of a pollster often involves confronting social myths with inconvenient data. The fact is, though this high-minded view of Canada may be comforting to many, it's not entirely accurate. A new study the Angus Reid Institute conducted in partnership with CBC reveals a slightly different portrait of Canadians than that of our national myth. Canadians want minorities to do more to 'fit in' The new two solitudes: 'Alberta and the rest of Canada' Majority of Quebecers believe question of independence is settled On immigration, the vast majority of Canadians prefer a policy that will enhance our economic prosperity over one that emphasizes the needs of people in crisis around the world. On multiculturalism, by a factor of almost two-to-one, Canadians say they would prefer that minorities "do more to fit in" with mainstream Canada, rather than encourage cultural diversity in which groups keep their own customs and language. (I asked an almost identical question 25 years ago, and fewer Canadians actually support multiculturalism as a concept today.) Asked the same question today, Americans are actually more likely than Canadians to say minority groups in their country should keep their culture and language (in the U.S., it's closer to a 50/50 split). So much for Canadian exceptionalism on the cultural diversity front. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/angus-reid-poll-canadian-values-immigration-1.3789223
More accurately, Americans have reaped what you've sown and many of you whine about it all the time. I've been very clear that I prefer life in Canada. Sure, take your "actions" and see what happens, do you really believe a wall with Mexico, harsh trade restrictions, and a clear lack of respect for different ethnic groups ( and women for that matter ) will be good for your nation ? Look, 4 years down the road the impact will be more clear, and I suspect Americans will be generally disappointed, because the solutions are misplaced. It's like attacking Iraq as revenge for 9/11, totally the wrong target, and it made new enemies. These are all nice diversions from attacking the real problems, like run away corporate greed, mediocre social systems, over sized military, high crime rates, and heightened acrimony between ethnic groups of people. The labeling on here I could talk forever on but what's the point, it's pervasive and obvious to most of us. Just on this thread alone, I'm called a "leftist" several times, which is nonsensical, I am not left leaning politically or career wise at all. So some of you are scared of "socialized medicine" like in Canada ? Too bad, because our system in my opinion is way better then yours. Your choice, pay your premiums. If it's a big win for you congratulations. Just own it and stop blaming Obama or leftists or Muslims or blacks ... . Do take "action" and I'll grab the popcorn and enjoy the show. Because it will be messy and it will be interesting see you make mistakes as a nation and how you try to rebound from them. Trump will likely be dead by the time it all gets sorted out.
Then why spend time on a US politics forum? Yes, except to the lack of respect. No one is showing that. Lots of people imagining it. That may be. But it is unlikely to be any worse for America than the last 8 years were. LOL! Sure. Is that why rich Canadians come to the US for treatment?
lol, another leftist who imagines that he is a centrist. Like I said, they most closely resemble the cult of Scientology.
