Oh fuck off with your Nazi bullshit.

You don't like the Will of the American Public?

    Go move somewhere else.

  3. I had no idea what you were talking about with this post until I took a look at the forums just now. It looks like P&R just lost the "R". Unless I am mistaken there are now multiple new sub-forums?

Many social issues that drive political debate and policy are derived from some religious moral perspective. Those that do not have a religion are bound to find opposing views from those who do practice a faith. Debate and discussions in this forum without religious references seems unavoidable. I guess it is still ok to discuss Muslim immigration here since being Muslim is now a race (no replies to this part please, just being sarcastic...I don't feel like arguing).

I think there should be a forum called "Snowflakes"....you know..a place where we can discuss the weather :)

This is a rather silly and childish poster. No reasonable person, other than in jest, would characterize someone as Hitler just because they didn't like them.

My earlier comment had to do with the unreliability of popularity as a indicator of virtuous character, as Hitler was, and now Trump is very popular with a large following.

But now that you bring the topic up, I do see a few obvious similarities between Trump and Hitler. They are, nevertheless, two different egomaniacs, and with only our brief experience with Mr. Trump as our Commander and Chief to go on, it would be absurd to claim that Trump is Hitler. Here are a few of the similarities however. Hitler was adept at the politics of populism, as is Trump. Hitler lied with impunity, as does Trump. Hitler was vindictive, and Trump is too, by his own admission. Probably the most striking similarity is their stoking of nascent, nationalistic fervor among their followers to gain favor with them. Also, both men wasted no time in ridiculing the opposition press and others that opposed them once they obtained prominent positions. We know that Hitler was successful in stifling opposition and consolidating control, but it remains to be seen how successful Trump will be in shutting down the opposition.

  8. This is exactly the kind of moronic, over the top rhetoric that makes impossible the sort of nuanced debate Pie claims to like.

If you call my president Hitler, my response is not to point out the obvious differences. It is to say fuck off. You are not making a respectable argument so why should I waste my time?

  10. Exactly right. Piezoe loves to present himself as some "centrist", but it's nothing more than a ploy to make these "nuanced" but "verbose" arguments that are heavily biased.

On occasion, he will show his "true colors" and drop the pretense.
