As an individual or a "less than critical mass" group, you can do virtually nothing. The system is fortified to resist change.

If you have money, leave the country... bad as things are going to get here, that's not a no-brainer. Lots of places in the world are lousy for similar and other reasons. (Jimmy Rogers went to Singapore and is in the process of getting ALL of his assets out of $USD.)

When my wife gets beyond the "pissn' and moanin' stage", we'll be looking for somewhere to move also.... at least I hope we will... if it's not already too late.

Correctamundo. The President PROPOSES a budget. The Congress could restrict or even eliminate deficit spending... IF IT WANTED TOO.

  3. The only solution is structural change.

This requires a total frame work overhaul....

    .....................................................

Any country that adopts the following....is going to win the game....

    10% consumption tax only

    Governance by township

Universal, All Language, All Markets, All Open, 24/7, Stock Exchange
0% non-interest, non-obligatory debt which enables better wealth distribution.....Max leverage 10:1, no minimum account size......001 per share......all accounts....no distinction between institutional vs individual....
All reporting via internet for public release and study....

Finance...discounted-asset based debt lending managed locally....

    No tariffs....no tax encumbrances...

The minimization of government in people's lives by 2010....

    .....................................................

The G7 needs to get this done....NOW!!!!!!

America was founded on 3 branches of government... to prevent one person or one group from having too much power and influence. (The Fathers of the Constitution envisioned that America and our citizens would ALWAYS BE FREE... unencumbered by a large and powerful federal government and NEVER subject to the criminal theft of assets by a central bank via inflation.... is that what we have today?)

However, Bush has taken great strides to increase the powers of the Presidency. And if the Congress merely "rubber-stamps" all of his spending proposals... and/or if the President never vetoes any spending legislation, they appear to be a cabal, do they not?

In other words, "things" are progressing JUST AS PLANNED. The mess we're in and the financial crisis are INTENTIONAL and part of the process toward the ultimate objective... NWO anyone?

  5. Japanese Communist Party (JCP), the nation's fourth largest political party. New recruits are signing up at the rate of 1,000 a month, swelling its ranks to more than 415,000.
    ------

Increasing numbers of people in the 'free world' unwilling to become self-directed, but they can stand in line for hours for food and promises every day, only to have the food and promises run out before they get any.

    Self-direction, self-reliance, self-defense, self-sufficiency, self-discipline, self-determination is hard work.

Self-destruction is the easy way out of hard work.

The desire to be made weaker by the government must be some mental disorder.

Beware of the government as the only answer to all needs and wants.

Where troubles melt like lemon drops....somewhere over the rainbow....

Our constitution has been hijacked and made irrelevant through a long process that started the day it was adopted. Money and power have no political color.
