  1. "I've been through it. I've been there." Absolutely god damn right Mr. Manuel Martinez. You sir, are an American of the highest standing.

  2. "The only reason for gun control is to protect the government from the people"...........M. Martinez. I read where Joe Biden is out mocking the "black helicopter crowd"(his words) jokingly saying....."we are going to drop special forces on you to collect your weapons". This is not the time to be mocking the American People.

  4. Compromise is another word for starting down the slippery slope.

Liberals are as relentless as termites. They will not go away, satisfied that they won a "compromise." To them, it is the floor for further concessions from our side.

Their goal is gun confiscation. Thye don't even bother to hide it any more. First, ban certain types of guns, the require every gun to be registered, so they know where to go to collect them. then, use some pretext, eg the next horrific shooting, to enact a total ban. Couldn't happen? Ask someone from the UK.

For those who think the Heller decision protects us, keep in mind that it can be changed very easily. States are already thumbing their noses at it, enacting draconian restrictions that are clearly barred by Heller. Their reasoning is, so someone files a lawsuit and it takes ten years to wend its way through the courts. Who knows who is on the supreme Court by then.

  5. In time to come, there will probably be substantial gun control. It is certainly trending that way.

The 2nd Amendment itself was inspired by a natural right in English law namely William Gladstone's Commentaries,

"The fifth and last auxiliary right of the subject, that I shall at present mention, is that of <B>having arms for their defence,</B> suitable to their condition and degree, and such as are allowed by law. Which is also declared by the same statute I W. & M. st.2. c.2. and is indeed a public allowance, under due restrictions, <B>of the natural right of resistance and self-preservation, when the sanctions of society and laws are found insufficient to restrain the violence of oppression."</B>

But fast forward to modern days and you can't even carry a pen knife walking down the streets of England.

There is no slippery slope, because there's always another guy "at the bottom" pushing back up--i.e., the opposition. Compromise is essential to adaptation and evolution.

Your understanding of the idea of compromising on principal is lacking. Compromise is not always the best solution. Sometimes status quo is best left unchanged.

  9. Virtually all of these chickenshit individuals that murder unarmed people are on psychiatric drugs. If somebody needs psychiatric drugs then they need to be locked up as well. The chickenshit professionals in this country have all paid legislators to give them an elevated status where they don't have to pay for their mistakes. We should go after the psychiatrists that fuck these people up, they are as guilty as anyone.

For instance how did that compromise do when we allowed a 1% income tax.

Or the compromise where we allowed our govt to start spending more than we took in even though there was not a war.

Did Lincoln allow for compromise on the slave issue when he agreed to end the war.
There are things you do not compromise. Like constitutional rights. And things we have to role back.
