I think one of the most important traits for a good trader is to be consistent. You cannot try to trade on and off or every once in a while. It takes time to get better as well as plenty of reading, research and analysis. You need to devote time and energy to it if you hope to do well. It is also important to avoid letting feelings take over when you trade.
