  1. Excellent Commentary All
    ..............................................................................

The truth of the matter is....this is the best venue in the shortest period of time....and should have already been done by Bush/Cheney....Bush/Cheney cost the US time and money....and a lot of it.....also he mentions the Iraq put option....at the min the US should get cheap energy from Iraq....a specific amount at a very cheap price....

    Pickens is the real deal....

In less than 10 years....this is it....

    ...........................................................................

This plays into better batteries and the other methods that are going to finally exempt the US from oil....

This is the only leverage the US has....

    Use it !!!!!

    He is 1000% correct.......

Make no mistake, Pickens is a good poker player....but this time he is the best homegrown solution the US has....

It sure as hell ain't McBush whose kid puts $50k in a month on American Express , and wife puts on $500,000 on American Express in a month...trying to tell the US how to budget....when he cannot do this at this house ?

And Obama....probably the best choice because he will get it done if he makes the decision to do so......Obama will stay up day and night working on it....while McBush will probably spend about the same amount of time Bush does......Bush minimizes his time solving issues.....

    Pickens....will get it done .....!!!!!!

He knows how to get from point a to point b....

At the moment in the gray house....up is down....and down is up....

  3. More than a coincidence that Pickens, on the day he claims oil will plunge, after herding the sheep into oil at or near the top for the last 4 months (nice sudden reversal), talks about ALTERNATIVE ENERGY and his big, bold wind energy plans.

This guy is more transparent than a ghost.

And the media treats him like a rock star.

  4. Perhaps Obama should make Boone his "alternative energy czar". No kidding. Who else puts their money where their mouth is on alternative energy sources.

You are right....but you have to admit, he is good at what he does....

But this time he has a full house stacked in favor of the US....

  6. One key to his plan is wind power, and surprisingly he wants to build a multibillion dollar wind project that will likely get a Fed subsidy.

The next key is natural gas powered vehicles.

Two fundamental problems with his ideas:

Wind doesn't necessarily blow when we need it and we are net importers of natural gas.

Texas had a near brown out a few months back when the wind suddenly stopped blowing.

Importing natural gas is not much better than oil, so why bother as it won't help our balance of payments nor lessen dependence on foreign supplies. Imported gas prices will only go up if the market shifts from gasoline to natural gas.

And, who will pay to retrofit all the gas stations?

TBP deserves props for using his public standing to get us off the recent policies of begging Saudi's Royal Family, suing OPEC, blaming anyone in sight, and making it illegal to drill where the oil is.

Hey you are right , but the issue is how to save money and provide somewhat of a bridge in a short time frame....

So far....he has the best solution....

Needless to say....you have not heard solutions from anyone else that can serve as a better bridge....

The key here is money and time.....

Or you can depend on folks like Bush/Cheney, Spendthrift McBush, or the original thoughts from Obama rama.....

Full house wins the short fuse game....this time....

    ......................................................................................................

A new battery/hydrogen fleet spells a lot more time and money.....

    This is easy.....

  10. LOL what?

His plan is a joke, I bet he was drunk & laughing his ass off when writing it. Wind power being a one time cost? Not even close, it has high maintenance costs.
Wind power not affecting the nearby environment? It's a huge disruption.

There are obvious alterior motives here. The Plan, even in its summary one page version is naive & oversimplistic, let alone devoid of any real research & factual information.
