the money in brokering is in the OTC space only. not exchange traded. if you worked at a hedge fund you should know this. all exchange traded brokering is done by a computer or a guy making less than 50k/yr. so if you have a good background (name school, high aptitude) then sell some structured crap or complex derivatives and make a lot.
Why don't you try out a firm like Merrill Lynch or Morgan Stanley working in their sales area. I believe they'll pay a salary and commissions.
I'm sorry but it i can not stand the easy money comments about the trading business. Look up Slipka trading, they should offer you a job if you are who you say.
