In my most profitable quarters, my commissions payed have always been as much or somewhat more than net profits. I am interested in hearing from others on their experience...

    75%-125%. chose option C.

  3. 50% is usually long term average for active short term traders i think. that's why the llcs and brokerages make so much money off the sheep. would guess people at places which take more risk like schonfeld and generic % may be much lower.

It would be helpful for respondents to offer some info on their trading style...I trade an equal mix of stocks/options with a max hold of 1 overnight. I would guess that the shorter the average trade, the higher the percentage paid to commissions...

    Any thoughts?
