Commison rate for a million shares a month?

I trade on average about a million a month and currently paying 2.5/ticket (1000) shares.

Is this competative? Think lightspeed can do better?

Any other brokerage firms that have really low commision costs?

if you are talking 100% payout, $2.50 per 1000 share lots on 1M shares per months sounds about right. of course there are places with much cheaper commissions but keep in mind that payout ratio and com fee schedule is a tradeoff.

I trade almost a million shares per month too. I pay 5 per trade, but I do not know about "payout". Could someone elaborate for me?
