I don't have any accurate estimate to provide at this point for when these features will be in eSignal. All we know is that the 8.x series is due to begin sometime in the next year.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned in awhile (or I missed it) was when esignal will be adding ECN's to listed quotes. Also...how about giving us the ability to have more than one level (the top currently) of the ECN depth. It's nice to see the top 3 levels or so of the ECN depth NASDAQ or Listed. The ECN books as they stand now are really not useful, as they only show fragments, rahter than the whole picture.

Thanks for all of the hard work...esignal has turned into a great product.

  5. Jay,

Can esignal display smaller time frame bars within larger time frame bars on the same chart like neoticker does?

This is a handy feature that can help to save valuable of desktop space when you need to open several time frames on the same symbol.

Could you describe what you are looking for in more detail? (i.e. most major ECN's have partnered with an exchange to list their quotes... ARCA w/ Pacx)

A competitive company has a patent on the idea of commingling books. We're very interested in making this available to our users and have our legal department working to make it possible. While other vendors may be doing this already, our size as a data vendor makes us too large of a target for us to break the patent to make commingling available before we've taken care of the legal issues.

Our new Market Depth window was designed with the idea of commingling, but the feature has not been turned on yet. The tabs at the bottom of the screen are currently activated by clicking on them which then brings the focus of the window to that tab. The original design was to make the tabs act as toggles so that any combination of tabs could be turned on or off and having multiple tabs turned on would give the user a commingled view.

Going through legal issues with large companies such as the ones involved is time consuming and slow work. This is very high on our list and we're determined to work through the issues and make this available as soon as possible, but there isn't an ETA possible at this point. We'll be sure to make posts as soon as this is resolved.

  7. Jay,

I am not currently an eSignal subscriber.
I have interest in Eurex Time&Sales data,
which is a difficult topic due to how the
    exchange handles trade dissemination.

It would be very kind if you could post
a small example of your Eurex Time-Sales
(format does not matter, TXT, CSV, whatever) so I can see how your system handles these issues.

Products listed at Eurex are e.g.
    FDAX (04H)
    Bund-Future FGBL (04H)
    EuroStoxx FESX (04H)

Just a small piece of Tick data. It would be very kind.

At this point, eSignal doesn't have the capability to do this natively, but it can be done through an EFS. Divergence Software has created such a script, and it is available for a small fee at http://www.sr-analyst.com/eSignal.htm. I would imagine that eventually we will add this capability to eSignal, but until that point, this EFS is a great workaround.

  10. Thanks Jay.

The CEF stuff is what I addressed. The worst crap ever since electronic trading was invented.

If only someone could urge them
    to eleminate that crap.

    "Network Load..." Hahaha...
50000 DAX futures / day vs. 500000 E-Minis, and the CME can disseminate each trade...

    What a bulls**t...
