Best thing I think would be to use the efs script editor in esignal (Tools..EFS.. Editor) and open that script and read through it and you should find a reference to a .wav file somewhere, which would be the sound you refer to.. that should give a file location.. then you could replace that .wav file with any other sound file.. either by re-naming the file and its location to the sound you want.. or changing the file specified in that location and renaming it to the file as specified in the script.. if you do not know the original file name for the soft beep then you will just have to do a search on all your .wav files on your pc and test them until you find a pleasing little beep.. Is their a facility on e-signal to pick up gapped up/down stocks as they open at 9.30am thanks in advance
Not directly within esignal, however I would suggest looking at Trade-Ideas' website. They have a very large selection of real-time alerts available to integrate within eSignal. Gap Up/Down, Gap Reversals, False Gap Up/Down Retracements... great stuff, in my personal opinion.
Hi eSignal, I am still having problems getting eSignal to display a spread chart with a constant. Could someone post exactly how to enter the following spead: .496LEH - NEU + 9.49 The 9.49 is a constant in dollars. The example Andy posted earlier in the thread does not seem to work right for me Thanks
MiamiBeach, We were mistaken in our earlier post. At this time, there isn't a way to add/subtract a straight value into a spread. It needs to be tied to a symbol to be added. I do know that this enhancement is on the list to be added, and hopefully we can get it in the next version or two.
I really like Esignal, however I find it very difficult to write custom formulas with it. Is anybody working on making it a little easier? I know that writing custom formulas with software like TC2000 and Metastock is much easier.
Yes, we are working on simplifying many of the routines for EFS so writing custom formulas becomes much easier. We are looking to expand the functionality of our Formula Wizard as well. You can expect to see these EFS enhancements as a part of eSignal 8.0, due out near the end of the year. Thanks.
I upgraded from 7.2 to 7.4. My question is after looking around the esignal website and the forum where I can find what is the most current build of a particular release? Thanks in advance Bsulli
At this point, the build number is not listed on our Download page. During beta testing phases, we commonly have sticky post at the top of the "7 Series Beta" forum on the eSignalCentral Forums that lists the current build and where to download it. I will make the suggestion to include the build number on our main download page.
