Where in the world did you get this ? I just wont to see your face when you call to one of these firms and try to get this rates. I recomend you to ask Bright for 08 and Andover for 06.

  2. don't know why you're suprised. do you know anything about this business? do you know how much a ticket really costs? have you ever thought about that? do you know how much of a killing these LLCs are charging people .08????? get a clue. either you're doing no volume or you're really in the dark.

  3. if you're doing decent volume, for your own sake, you really should shop around. for chrissake, look at all the posts we have for ADVERTISED rates from pointdirex etc .005 per share is advertised that's WITHOUT any negotiating. and i've already posted here before, if you want ~.004, just call up etrade pro, as simple as that. and that's not some bucketshop with lowball rates desperate for customers. if you find it hard to believe that people are paying less than .008 i guess you really don't know the business that well. i find it amazing that anyone halfway intelligent and decent would be paying anything above .008, regardless of software or prop situation.

    last thought:
if you're 'running a trading business' who do you think should be making more money? a) you the trader, who's risking your own capital every day (and that includes all the 'secured prop' guys trading in LLCs, because that's not real prop because you're still liable for losses) or b) the commission houses who take no risk? if you haven't negotiated a better deal and are still paying high tickets where the bulk of your profits go to the house, YOU'RE NOT A TRADER, YOU'RE AN INDENTURED TICKET WRITING SHEEP

  4. You were referring to these rates as bullets rates. This surprised me as I never heard about 0.8 or 0.6 bullets. As far as commissions per share I agree the less the better (for a trader) and there is some limit to it. I think even if it costs 0.002 to a company they have to make at least 0.002 from you to survive and cover the cost of business.

  5. bullets i've seen rates as low as .08-9 for very high volume bullet users. tickets, i;ve seen as low as close to zero, my ticket rate is pretty low, for fairly high volume, but i have a few friends who do really high volume and they pay extremely low rates.
first for a big firm, it doesnt cost a firm .002. after higher volumes, the 'cost' of a ticket is close to ZERO. and to begin with, it might cost a *sub-LLC* .002 for a ticket, but the original brokerage's cost of a ticket is lower than that. second, to cover the cost of business, if a floor makes .002 on 2 or 3 high volume traders the fixed costs of the operations is already covered, anything else is gravy.

  6. be careful, your information may get some overriders undies in a bunge..... so watch your back.... there are some scrubs around here who will definately not appreciate you shedding the light to some who havent seen it yet..

    for example....
tickerwatcher was pmed by agin 1415 after he posted similar things as you, when he returned the message, it was forwarded to baron as spam and ticker watcher was banned.....

  7. OK thanks, I'll take that into consideration, thanks. I thought this site was to share knowledge and to help out other traders though.

  8. the thing is though, i do feel sorry for these people who are getting raped by sub-LLC's paying .01/share and 5% of their profits back, especially since I went through that unpleasant experience myself a few years ago. and when the market's this tough, having leeches sucking your blood is very painful.

  9. Unlike most offices out there, Lynx actually trains their traders and has a lot to offer. Most people who are recruiting through ET and who have no idea how to trade, or teach someone how to trade, have nothing to offer except low rates. To bash a company that has been successful at turning people into great traders, is almost as idiotic as the comments from "Sambatrade". Hey Sambatrade, get a life and learn how to trade, instead of offering low rates to anyone who walks through the door. You are are useless as anyone can be in the industry. A loser who can't make a dollar.

  10. a) I'm not recruiting anyone for anybody
    b) turning people into "great traders"? like who? Maybe lynx is an exception but 99% of all companies like that do very little for their traders and anyone who knows better would deal directly with the firm than a middleman.
    c) There are a lot of good companies where you can get good rates without a lot of bullshit, andover, etrade pro, datek, pointdirex, take you're pick. I'm not recommending any firm in particular so I have no vested interest and have no idea why you're portraying me as having one.
    d) you're right, i probably can't make a dollar the way you do by charging people high tickets
