Could not have said it better myself. Good post. I doubt the younger will be subsidizing anything in our lives, but the rest is all good stuff.
We know why people voted for Odumbo... because they are ignorant, greedy parasites... couched in whatever words they choose. America is now permanently divided between (a) greedy parasites who want some/all of what others have but are unwilling to work for success, and (b) "parasite hosts/victims" who are expected to provide the juice for what the parasites demand. Personally, I hope all of the rich and accomplished Americans either STOP DOING BUSINESS ALTOGETHER WHILE LAYING OFF ALL OF THEIR EMPLOYEES... OR PACK UP AND LEAVE AMERICA... leaving the parasites with "no blood to suck". (The way things stand now, we'll end up there regardless. I'd just rather it happen quickly, in dramatic fashion.. so that the Leftists finally wake up to what they have done and supported.)
Great article that touches on some of the points Tsing made regarding his children. DAVID MAMET TELLS LIBERAL JEWS TO WAKE UP In a harsh challenge to liberal Jews voting for Barack Obama, Oscar-nominated, Tony Award winning playwright David Mamet, formerly a strident liberal but now a card-carrying conservative, penned a column in the Los Angeles Jewish Journal with a series of questions for them: Are you prepared to explain to your children not the principles upon which your vote is cast, but its probable effects upon them? Irrespective of your endorsement of liberal sentiments, of fairness and âmore equal distribution,â will you explain to your children that top-down economic policies will increasingly limit their ability to find challenging and well-paid work, and that the diminution in employment and income will decrease their opportunity to marry and raise children? Will you explain (as you have observed) that a large part of their incomes will be used to fund programs that they may find immoral, wasteful and/or indeed absurd? And that the bulk of their taxes go to no programs at all, but merely service the debt you entailed on them? Will you tell your children that a liberal government will increasingly marginalize, dismiss and weaken the support for and the safety of the Jewish state? Will you tell them that, in a state-run economy, hard work may still be applauded, but that it will no longer be rewarded? Will you explain that whatever their personal beliefs, tax-funded institutions will require them to imbibe and repeat the slogans of the left, and that, should they differ, they cannot have a career in education, medicine or television unless they keep their mouths shut? Will you explain to them that it is impossible to make a budget, and that the basic arithmetic we all use at the kitchen table is not practiced at the federal and state level, and to suggest that it should be is âselfishness?â Most importantly, will you teach them never to question the pronouncements of those in power, for to do so is to risk ostracism? Are you prepared to sit your children down and talk them through your vote on the future you are choosing for them?
You are wasting your time. People won't change until they are forced to. Your best stance at this point would be to prepare for the time when they are forced to, and put as much separation between them and you as possible. This time will be here sooner than almost everyone expects.
I think you may not be giving the young, hispanic, females enough credit. Those that I know work really hard, are God fearing Christians, and love their jobs and America. As with any demographic, there will be a percentage of those called slackers, but less in Asians and the Hispanics that I've observed at various work places. The meme from the right, and the Ayn Rand buzzwords tend to get over used, over-simplified, and simply do not apply in all cases. Just my opinion, as always. Always good to hear your thoughts, Captain.
I'm REALLY worried that the dumbing of America that started decades ago has come home to roost, and we're going to pay for this one big time. I don't think America and Great Empire will be used in a sentence much longer, unless it's to describe what not to do...

Gee whiz guy.. My first thought is Ghandi. "Be the change you want to see in the world" This is always, I mean always my first comment when my kids bitch about something, anything. They bitch about something and I tell them "Don't be like that" or "Don't do that". Secondly, imo people are people and good trumps evil, the problem I currently see with this election and polarization in this country is our "culture". I don't think it would take much to turn this around but it will take something big. I'm as jaded as the next guy, these politicians who lack morals or ethics, get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and refuse to resign. why should they, no one is holding them accountable. At any rate, would you feel comfortable presenting your speech (rant) at a high school graduation? Never give up and never quit. The fact that you are here and wrote that post speaks that you do care. Peace....
Agreed. And I also believe the layoffs are eminent. That nuke he dropped on America called Obama care will absolutely wipe out companies, and by 2016, I can't imagine what this Country will look like.
Peter Schiff hits the nail on the head for Why Obama won, great video! <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dz7boAzeV7s?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
