Coming to terms with my feelings. Long, sorry.

It was a hypothetical question, to see if you'd feel the same about your mother under "similar" circumstances
    So was Obama
I disagree, certainly not everything we know now was readily available to everyone. But the masses for the most part had a pretty good idea what was going on. Even if they didn't have all the details known now.
Many yes, BUT there were some you saw the writing on the wall. Just as some of us see the writing on the wall with Obama. And not unlike 1930's Germany/Russia we're being systematically repressed more and more for opposing Obama.
True, but I did not ask what you'd do with your mother if she voted for either. I specifically asked how you'd treat your mother if she "fervently supported" one of the other.

    Not entirely true.
The U.S. supported Stalin during the war, despite the known atrocities.

Can't think of one off hand, but then again I don't recall saying there was a better one.

The comparison to Stalin or Hitler was unfair, but only because you're considering everything Hitler was, to what Obama could be. Who knows what lunacy is up the man's sleeve. But the rise to power for Obama eerily resembles the same for Hitler. At least to those of us looking at it.

How can we show you what country "will be better" than the US? How about we wait until the economic collapse and then trade post cards?

Once you put your thoughts/ideas in public domain, they will be debated and suggestions will be made. Otherwise, you could have written your original post in a private journal. So your post about unsolicited and unnecessary advice/suggestion is not really warranted.

Just read what conservatives were saying during FDR era. According to them Social Security was the evil of huge magnitude. Also take a look what was being said during medicare passage.
And guess what, we now enjoy a great life and wonderful society.

The sky is not falling. If GOP finds a great candidate, Elephant will be back in the white house in 4 years. Live goes on.

I thought you were open to discuss things in a mature manner. Do you even realize how it is immature and plain ignorant to compare Obama to Hitler?

Looking at what to come up with such a post?

Btw, this post clearly demonstrates that it is Obama that you truly despise and not the direction of the country.

    That is a fair response.

As for the sky falling, you're still missing the point. I've made a personal determination that it's not going to get better, and thus I am removing myself from trying to make it so. Instead, I will just focus my effort and money inwards to my direct family. Everyone who I cannot come to terms with on the political spectrum I will simply remove from my path by choosing to walk another path.

Why is this hard to grasp?

I think it's perfectly relevant. Just because you can't see my point, makes me immature? Do you see how immature you sound? Who made you the authority on what is right and proper in the world?

As for despising Obama vs. the direction of the country, the President and the direction of the country are directly linked. How is it you don't get that?

It isn't the response the left expected (in general).

They thought that guys like you would see the election result, realize that they had won and then just meekly pay for their socialist policies. They didn't expect that people would fight those policies by eliminating charity and taking from the system where possible. They didn't expect that many of us would throw the people who voted for Obama out of our lives. They expected capitulation not defiance.

It is not about me not being able to see your point that make your post immature. It is the comparison of Obama to Hitler and a "not yet" suggestion.

While the direction and president are linked, we have a great system of check and balances.

Look at what happened when GOP was in full control after 2002, and the same can be said for Democrats after 2006.

Debate and compromise is what is needed to solve things, not just one party view.

All of the above only matters if we live in a true democracy. I came across various groups of people who believe that Democrats vs Republicans is just a theater for keeping masses under control by few.

Yes, there are plenty of people who believe this.

Do not make assumptions. You do know what this word consists off? :)

Nobody really expects anything or pretty much cares about what you do. Many of us just surprised about some, who willing to through their families overboard due their voting choice.

"HAD" - We had a great system of checks and balances. Obama has grabed so much power and the Congress has been powerless to stop it. Mostly becuase the Senate is controlled by the supidity of Harry Reid and other democraps. They can't see the world beyond the end of their noses.
