Take a trip back in the old Mav time machine (yes the same one I used with Don Bright) to 1989 to see what CNBC looked like it's first year on the air. Two things I would like to add here. Yes, they are using porno music as their backup sound and no, I repeat no, this is not old Saturday Night Live footage. I'm serious, it's not. But there is porn music! <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eO_A8rCVrH0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eO_A8rCVrH0&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object> <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t2amunSBBaY&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t2amunSBBaY&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object> <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7OtkiV_lIpo&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7OtkiV_lIpo&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>

Too much. Thanks for sharing these. Somewhere I have a VHS tape (I'll have to make digital) of CNBC's coverage of the worst one day point loss for the Dow, on September 17, 2001. It lost 684 points and at one time was down 721. Just after 9/11 obviously. The day the market reopened for trading. http://www.crn.com/news/channel-pro...;jsessionid=FMxj01I0fuyWmhxz1XhddA**.ecappj02
And here is the start of a new type of network.
