College enrollment is falling faster than we thought.

  1. it used to be that schools would hire loser grads when they don't find work 5 months after graduation.....pay them $10 as a part-time job....

because schools are judged by placement within 6-month timeframe. this is how they make their numbers look good..

fire these idiots....and numbers stay good..

then send them a letter asking for money from alumni....haha

and you root for them on TV as they ruined your life!!!!! suckers

hopefully your passion is something very unique where not many clowns are interested in....

or you will be doing something bad and paying school loans forever.

  7. It does not take a Rocket Scientist to figure out that a degree in "Woman's studies, or Videogame History" Is not going to land you a job that pays above McJob wages.

  8. whatever, when I was going to school no parent could understand why anybody would want to get a degree in Computer Science

what the hell is Computer Science?

at anyrate, as you just said, if your reason for going to college is just to get a job there is not much hope for you

some people are just born employees

    and until they die off

there won't be much economic growth

    don't get me started

the liberal democrats think the way people make money is by getting a job

the conservative republicans know they will never pay you what you are worth

it's been that way since the beginning of time

  9. Computer Science is a tangible skill.

A Degree in Star Trek history has no tangible work value.

Only rich people can afford to spend 100K on a degree on the history of Star Trek, with a Minor in Klingon language.

Only children of wealthy parents can afford the luxury of these degrees.

Regular children from working class families cannot afford to be saddled with a 100K degree that offers no job prospects to put food on the table.

  10. The pressure from family to go and get that degree is what gets em. They are just turning 18 and haven't really learned to think for them self yet. I had a hell of a time with my ego when I decided not to go to college. Family looked down on me for a while.

I wanted to be a graphic designer but the reputable school for that in my area cost 100k for the "good degree" . F that.

I'm not paying that kind of money for "connections" and a work permit.

Sure if you want to be a doctor, lawyer or accountant go get your degree. Have fun getting balls deep in debt for your work permit.

I'd rather take out a 100k loan and buy a couple shitty houses to be a slumlord to college kids with federal financial aid checks coming in.
