I honestly don't know, Tony. I had to once when it was between him and Hillary, and I'm glad I did. Not because I don't completely loathe the man, but because he advanced conservative principles with the supreme court. I know, I know, you are on the polar opposite side of the spectrum from me and won't agree with that. But you asked me for my thoughts, and I'm giving them to you. If it is between Trump and Biden, in all probability I'll sit out this election. As bad as Biden is, I think I'd have to choose continuity of policy over the massive disruption that would come from another Trump 4 years right after the circus of the last. But if it were Trump and, say, Kennedy? I'd vote Kennedy in a NY minute.
1 How would you use the flood of undocumenteds overwhelming the current immigration system to solve that problem? 2 Would you offer first the solutions to documented willing Americans? 3 Oh goody, more government programs, lol.
5 takeaways from Trump’s CNN smackdown Donald Trump did a greatest-hits medley of his false election claims and Jan. 6 explanations. And the GOP-heavy crowd loved it. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/10/5-takeaways-from-trumps-cnn-smackdown-00096376
Apparently the big wigs at CNN are pissed at how the town hall went. I wonder how they expected it would go.
In their defense, as town halls go, it was repugnant. And not for a lack of trying to keep Trump from spewing his shit.
I think trump v. Biden presents an election i am not sure I also want to be a part of.....seems to represent a step back for both sides and this country... and as of today i dont see any other candidates from either side with a chance of getting the nom so regardless of politics we are getting 2 very old men fighting it out
social media in my opinion...views and likes replaces popularity and being actually intelligent and the average simple voter simply is drawn to the shiny gold ring. People become so polarized on a single issue that a candidate can simply check that box via social media and grab voters who then tune everything else out. Clinton and Bush are lucky they were just before this era and you had to tune into the news to see a repeated clip of a mistake or soundbyte. I think like attracts like and a dumber voting population attracts simpler shallower candidates. You and I are not the narrative...we can disagreee on issues at a higher level than the trump voters that Comedy Central interviews at trump rallys and the whacked out liberals calling for stupidity. Those voters outnumber us..who knows 5to 1...10 to 1... Politics run by media....no surprise we get a reality tv type president which forced the other side to go extreme the other way...all of us in the middle get fucked. to be honest knowing that day to day a president can do very little (except of course fuel a narrative in idiot public), fuels my apathy
