CNN has a strong case here. They will win the battle. But. trump will win the war as he will continue to erode the rule of law while the courts will keep stopping him and his “patriotic” base will love him for it.
I see the lefties wailing about CNN, but CNN has several other correspondents who have white house press credentials. So the legal arguments or fairness arguments dont really come down to whether a "major" network can be excluded. It comes down to Acosta. CNN is free to send someone else. And Lawd knows they have plenty of other arseholes to choose from.
How can it violate his Constitutional rights? Where in the Constitution does it say that a political activist has the right to question the President?
Why would anyone hate CNN, they are hilarious? Watching their coverage of the 2016 election was very funny and entertaining. Before the polls had closed in a single state they were calling the election for Hillary. They had already popped the champagne. Of course the American people had other ideas.
If I were the President I would not have a showdown on this in the courtroom. What if the President loses? I would give him his credential and then let it be known no questions for CNN as long as he is their WH reporter.
Trump is sure to lose this. Liberal judges will inevitably use their special power to discern a provision in the invisible ink clauses of the Constitution that gives a nutcase leftwing activist a constitutional right to hector the president and fight with WH staff.
