Even now, extreme liberals are engaged in censorship via social media sites, blackballing anyone they disagree with resulting in not being hired for a job, not getting preferential treatment at work, not getting opportunities to advance. In addition, they will harass you on top of that. On the flip side, conservatives have buying power on their side. They can use it to launch boycotts of the most liberal, intolerant, hateful businesses out there. Look at the backlash on the NBA, NFL, MLB as their viewership contracts. Now, that would affect advertising revenues as business see the NBA for instance being in a toxic place.
