"Yesterday, the progressive watchdog group Media Matters blasted out a press release to reporters charging that "CNN has a very serious Lou Dobbs problem." Now, it seems the message may have started to seep through. TVNewser reported today that Jon Klein sent a memo to group of Dobbs' staffers explaining in no uncertain terms that the whole "birthers" story is "dead."

In part, Klein writes, "It seems this story is dead- because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef." Klein asked CNN researchers to dig into the question of why Obama couldn't produce the original birth certificate. The researchers contacted the Hawaii Health Dept. and confirmed that paper documents were discarded in 2001 when the department went paperless. That reportedly includes Pres. Obama's original birth certificate."

So when push comes to shove, CNN takes the Stalinist approach. Like anyone could be surprised!:D

And notice the last part of the story. It states that the paper documents were discarded in 2001. But, but we've been told that Hawaii confirmed that he had a valid birth certificate. They said they SAW IT!

Well, if they can SEE this paperless document, it's really no excuse for Obama to not let us SEE it, either.

    We're waiting........

    A slightly longer version:

As an aside, Kitty Pilgrim set the matter to rest while filling in for Lou on his own show. Lou then returned and started up again. Perhaps the good people at CNN don't want Lou to drag them down to Fox's cellar, where conspiracy theorists are given free reign and even encouraged to chant their unsubstantiated nonsense.

  3. I love what Federal judge James Robertson had to say on the issue

    Hollister v. Soetoro

On March 5, 2009, a lawsuit filed by Philip Berg on behalf of Gregory S. Hollister, a retired Air Force colonel, was dismissed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The presiding judge, James Robertson, said the case was a waste of the court's time, calling Berg and another lawyer "agents provocateurs" and their local counsel, James Hemenway, "a foot soldier in their crusade." He ordered Hemenway to show cause why he should not pay the legal fees for Obama's attorney as a penalty for filing a complaint "for an improper purpose such as to harass."

  4. CNN's legal expert and Harvard grad Attorney Jeffery Toobin on the issue

  5. First Amendment rights being squashed??

  6. No, just yellow journalism.

  7. Why aren't you happy that constant Obama tabloid stories keep coming out in the national media? If I was a strong Obama supporter I would advocate the most absurd political stories possible in order to distract the public from the facts of Obama's healthcare plan.

Obama's healthcare plan has sunk radically in the polls over the last couple weeks because more and more people are becoming familiar with the plan. Obama says the plan will reduce costs. The CBO says the plan will increase costs in the range of $1 trillion plus. Call the moderates crazy, stupid or insane. It doesn't matter what you, I or anyone else labels them. This is the reality.

You should be thankful for unsubstantiated nonsense because it is currently saving your moderate majority. At least for now...

  8. The dems and barry are through, the "stimulus" and cap and trade were jammed down people's throats and he couldn't do it with healthcare so now the polls are beginnig to reflect the truth.

The economy will still be terrible and the dems will lose big in the next election.

The healthcare disaster and cap and trade will destroy them.

Hillary will run against barry in 2012 and win and if the right can get it's act together they will beat hillary.

Barry's tenure ended the day he stepped in office because that's what happens when you elect people who have no idea what they are doing.

    experience does count.

...and the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights organization, lol, has demanded that Lou Dobbs be removed from the network. (that's in the article, too)

Ya see, Barry don't have to prove NUTTIN! Birth certificate! He don't have to show no stinkin birth certificate! And if you want him to, you are a racist!

It's gonna get really ugly folks. These libs aren't going down w/o a fight. As in 'scorched earth', take down everything and everybody in sight.

  10. I guess you haven't seen the latest Republican poll numbers
