Seriously, it's like you're not even appreciating how Trump is eroding the legitimacy of the presidency by posting this shit on his official twitter account, which the White House had previously advised serves as the president's "official statements." http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-s-tweets-official-statements-spicer-says-n768931 https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jul/03/donald-trump-wrestles-cnn-press-freedom Nero, is that you?
Tell that to the inordinate number of stupid Americans who get their daily "talking points" at Fox and are made more stupid by it.
I will not defend FOX they have their own set of problems (e.g. how many execs have been fired over there for sexual harassment lately). However you have to admit that CNN really stepped in it this time.
I don't think so. I think Trump did. A sitting president making an "official statement" deriding the Fourth Estate. Aren't you a member of the Slippery Slope contingent? The man is not taking his job seriously, and you're laughing...
The story here's going after the guy who made a funny. Trump's a classless clown, that's long been established.
Trump is hardly the first president to deride the Fourth Estate. He is the first to do so on Twitter. If you want a good historical example you should check out what F.D.R. said about the press... FDR's War Against the Press Franklin Roosevelt had his own Breitbart, and radio was his Twitter http://reason.com/archives/2017/04/05/roosevelts-war-against-the-pre
"Going after?" You mean identifying the person? That's the "threat?" Shiver me timbers, boyo. And who ever thought a news organization would do investigative reporting, especially when someone tried to make "a funny" at their expense? Remember, this is not "a funny" in isolation. Trump and his camp had been contemptuous towards CNN (and all manner of legitimate media) for some time now because of all of the factual reporting.
