McCain should stfu. He makes management's job a lot more difficult. His statements could even blow the deal. Thankfully, the russkies know we have a free press.

  3. CNN reporting, not FOX, CNN reporting that shots are being fired at the crash site. Bodies and evidence are being removed by "rebels". No co-operation at all with those arriving at the crash site to recover bodies and evidence.
Putin could with a phone call have people securing the crash site and providing assistance. That not happening tells us all we need to know. Dear Leader should make a phone call and let Putin know we're coming in to get the bodies and evidence. "Rebels" doing anything other than giving directions to the crash site will be shot. Hang up the phone and give the orders.
OK, back to reality. Our pussy of a president and the spineless cunts we have in congress will send a sternly worded letter to Putin displaying their displeasure. Putin wins another round.

  5. I'd be cautious about taking media reports at face value. We were lied to about the situation in Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Syria, etc prior to attempts at overthrowing the governments. During the Clinton administration, we intervened on behalf of Albanian muslims against Serbia. Again, one-sided media accounts provided the justification.

Blaming Putin for everything is convenient but overlooks the fact that the west fomented or at least supported the coup against the former Ukranian government. It was a direct challenge to Russia and Putin, expanding the EU and at some point inevitably NATO directly into Putin's back yard. The idea that he would just accept this degree of provocation without responding was foolish. Don't poke a hornets' nest then whine about getting stung.

It's puzzling that we support these separatist movements all over the world, provided they are backed by radical islamists or in the past by communists. The separatist movement in Ukraine however is regarded as illegitimate. We imposed a no fly zone over Libya when Ghaddafi did exactly the same thing the Ukrainian government is doing, ie attack separatists using air power. We drew red lines and criticized the syrian government for the same thing, attacking separatists. No whowever, the separatists are russians, not islamists, and suddenly our approach is the opposite. Puzzling.

Keep in mind always the question, "what's best for American empire and profits?" and you won't find it quite so puzzling anymore. We have rarely if ever really cared what foreign government, or government opposition, we support so long as they are friendly to our businesses. Even if they're like "us", "white", Christian, English speaking, etc., if they're not friendly to American business we oppose and undermine them.

It would be instructive, and even enlightening, to compare our responses to the troubles in Syria, in Iraq, in Iran, in Palestine, and in the Ukraine, as well as to the children who are crossing our border.

I'm going out to shoot some collared doves, cut some wood, and come back to reading "Debt, The First 5000 Years".

I see the ET blame-Obama contingent has arrived.

So in your mind, if Obama isn't ready to start a hot war with Russia on Russia's own doorstep (a reason for Russia to literally go nuclear if ever there was one), then he's a pussy. Wow.

We should start calling you Captain McObvious.

  10. Chicago is a very violent place. There is at least one stop the violence march every weekend. People voicing their opinion. The violence continues. You know why? Thugs don't give a fuck about an "opinion". Putin is a thug. So we have a choice. Accept the violence while pissing and moaning about it, or do what needs doing. I'm tired of listening to the pissing and moaning. Just STFU, bend over and be the bitch, or put up a fight. What's it gonna' be?
