CNBC - Cramer's Mad Money

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by LaSalle, Mar 14, 2005.

  1. long time lurker, first time writer. Cramer is a dirt bag, always was always will be. I have been smoked by jimmy on both the buy and sell sides of the postioning game.. he would buy in front and short in front of me, all due to his wife. He cannot be trusted under ANY circumstances, as he will lie and cheat and steal for his own benefit.. I urge all to put this putz on ignore, or better yet fade the shit of of him, as that is all he aspirers to be; the nascar of stock picking, but ugier and shorter than the original: Joe Battapaglia.

  3. I don't care if its Charlie Manson that gets on national TV and says, "Buy XYZ." If it's going up, I want the scalp.

Could not agree more, I do a lot of AH trading and Cramer has provided many opportunities to make money this week. Last night his comments took MRK dn .60 to 31.1 and VIA up another 1 to 39.8. Lots of chances to fade when he moves a big cap stock this much.

  5. I'm away from the office, so I haven't been able to follow Cramer's show or what is happening to the stocks he mentions. How are you guys playing them? Do you try to beat the online traders to it, then sell when they go bid? Or do you wait , then fade the move?

Did any of you remember when he talked about how it was a great idea that JPM didnt settle with WorldCom Investors. He said they would save money, they just settled for 2 billion had they settled 9 months ago it would of cost them 800 million. He said it was a great idea they didnt settle and the very next day that news comes out.

  8. In hindsight I believe you are correct, JJC has reopened pandora's box in respect to AH trading. God bless him for that, at least he has an opinion. I can certainly do w/out the sound effects though. You're the man jimmy j!

  9. The fact that anyone would place trades based on someone else's recommendations still baffles me.

Why would you place the critical decision making process, which IMO is the most important aspect of trading, into someone else's hands? Is it because one can blame someone else if the trade fails and hence take no personal responsibilty? Is it because people cannot think for themselves??

Cramer isn't doing this for anyone's benefit. Don't listen to anybody but yourself - you are only harming your abilty to grow as a trader!!

I don't watch any news or CNBC or anything on TV so I may be a bit biased.

    Just my two cents.

  10. What? You think a Cramer scalps will get you rich? And "the critical decision making process" is that if JC touts a stock, it will, at least move enough for a quick in and out. I can use a few no-brainers once in a while.
