I was 1/2 joking. There are a couple of people on CNBC who actually do a decent job, such as Ron Insana and Rick Santelli. There's also some nice eyecandy.
It's cable TV, don't confuse with it with prime time. Maria making 10 mil? There is no way CNBC would be profitable if that was true. No need to pay any of these monkeys more than 200k a year, where would they go? I'm sure they get new ppl for less than 6 figs.
I'd pay them 5.75 an hr. Its all they deserve for doing nothing except shuffling around some papers, and reading off a teleprompter.
Kernen makes almost $2mm. Giangreco in Chicago makes a bit over a mil. I believe he's the highest paid in Chi.
