The guy appears to be very talented. Before he bet the farm on ESCL (which was up 100%),he was up 100% in the portfolio....I believe this year he is up 40% in his stock picking, and that doesnt include some lower cap stocks that have nearly doubled in value..He looks to be a very good stock picker, which I will take over "techncal gurus" 10 out of 10 time

  3. Instead of entering under my nic here and trying to make me look bad, why don't you just enter under your own name and see if you can improve on your previous performance of -24%? If you're just a fraction as good as you claim you are here, why don't you prove it?

  4. Taowave I've been meaning to ask this question you have given me the forum. I signed up for the contest. I heard they would be giving me monthly winning $ as well as in the end putting me into the final. The problem is I have this nagging suspicion it's a bad idea to play a contest while running money in the real world.
Several outcomes could shine negatively on me- for one stocks are streaky and I'm on fire-- if I push too much I could hit a cold streak due to the contest that could spread into my portfolios. Also I could have a huge winner not duplicated in my own account that could throw me off too.

Wondering how you all feel about playing games with names that are earning your dinner.

Also I had trouble concentrating on all the rules. How are dividends accounted for? I was considering using a high yield strategy since timing wise the market is apt to be down. ~ stoney

  5. i wish they would have better rules. being able to trade anything under the stock sun is insane. Penny stocks can move like a yoyo, not fair to serious traders, but I guess when you are an advertising channel you dont care about the trading, you care about the eyeballs!! also I wish they would show daily holdings of top 10 players!!

  8. Come on Jack, actions speak louder than words! Here's your chance to really show what you're made of!!! Are you going to take it, or just type your usual diarrhea here?

  9. NOT! Instead of backing up his grandiose claims, he slithers out of participating with "humor" that implies it would be trivial for him to win. Which would only be funny if he really could win.

Here's a prediction: NO WAY will Hershey participate openly, under his real name, because he knows he'll make a fool of himself (one exception is he would but will "quit" for personal reasons after a few bad trades). He might participate, however, under a nic to hide his identity, in which case he'd only disclose it after the fact, if he makes a few lucky trades.

BOTTOM LINE: NO WAY will Hershey participate under his real name for the duration of the contest. You can take this to the bank.

  10. I've already started to spend some of my winnings from this game- not the million but the monthly payouts- how could I now win a few of those?

If I can get into the finals I will smoke anyone. For I will be putting mucho time and effort in...

But once again I have this nagging feeling this game could take down my regular trading.
