Simple explanation, he just closed a small, losing position. So he was up today 42K by market close, and after 6 pm he closed out a losing 4+K position, what is shown as his Today's P/L. You can look up his name in the CVS file posted yesterday for a comparison. Edit: I just looked him up, he was up 17K yesterday, so he only had to make 25K today to be up 42K. Obviously he made most of it after the report coming out, so way after 9:30...
I love how 6 out of this list of 10 made most of their winnings today, and all seem to be different names. Its too bad that this might come down to lucky trades versus actual skill. (except for you Spectre)
I don't have skill, some luck like others. The platform is not realistic. But its fun to see how participants play it.
Keep up the excellent work especially with 139 trades on the CME Group trade execution platform that most feel like it will make them vomit. Actually, I'm a little shock most don't quit the challenge with that platform after about 30 trades. Also, I've notice something very odd with this particular challenge. There's a large turnover (change) on this leader board that I have not seen before in other challenges. In prior challenges, I would see position changes among the top 10 user names with an arrival of 2 - 3 new names only on the last trading day of the challenge. Would be interesting to see which user names are trading Options versus those trading Futures. The screenshot yesterday from Pekelo was a little surprising because it did not show the traders of metal in the top three spots considering metal futures were the best performing group the last few trading days. Yet, your more recent screenshot shows the traders of metals in the top spots. wrbtrader
Its a toss up, need gaps in derivatives for the leader to emerge. Wont be doable with small incremental wins.
I'm now imagining the metal traders are huddle somewhere in the dark...talking about how they're going to sabotage you to ensure the top 3 places go only to traders of metal futures. Seriously, do not click on links in any suspicious emails tomorrow. wrbtrader
