CME to launch Micro Bitcoin futures in May

Why hopefully? We know they will start trading on Monday, May 3rd.

 

Let me try to be the first customer to trade micro BTC futures.

Time for CBOE to consider relaunching cryptocurrency futures.

 

The web site still has the * and the footnote "Subject to regulatory review."

So I made the inference (which could be wrong) that a Monday start date is still contingent upon a successful regulatory review.

 

Ahh. That's just a boiler-plate statement, mentioned on every new product launch or change.

it seems like it is not available from IB.

 

You have to give them a few days to integrate it into their system and filter down to us plebes.

 

1x BRR contract front-month (multiplier: 5) = $294.725, comission: $15.02
1x BRR contract front-month (multiplier: 0.1) = $5894, comission: $7.52

Just bought this in my paper account at IB. Comission is 25x higher than 5 BTC contract.
