The higher level of DAX index means 2 points is about the same granularity as 0.5 point on ES. And combined with the higher multiplier means lower cost as % of notional (but difficult to trade in small account).
The NQ is a better like for like comparison with the DAX. Bid ask spread is much tighter in the NQ. The big DAX used to be cool with a 0.5 point min tick, but Eurex recently ruined it when they increased the min tick to a one full point, but the market makers seem ignore that and have made it even worse and keep it at a two points wide most of the time.
