An interesting observation. https://buchanan.org/blog/are-democrats-ceding-the-center-to-trump-137283
This is a very interesting read, and one I agree with 100%. I cannot fathom why the Democrats are doing everything in their power to destroy their chances to make Trump (who should be the easiest President in years to get rid of) a one term President. All of the things that these candidates on the left are pushing are very important to the ever more shrieking left in primaries, which forces them to maintain far, far left ideals and strategies, but once you leave the primary, most of those positions are very unpopular in the general election. Moderate democrats have no place in the democratic party anymore. Its insane. Many true independents (not democrats who claim to be independents) and even moderate republicans or libertarians (like myself) would love to have someone to vote that wasn't Trump. But once again, like last time, the democrats will do all they can to polarize and make all those folks go "ok, if that is what you're going to put forth, then I'll hold my nose again and pull the level for Trump." Why don't they get this?? It should be SOOOO easy to beat Trump. Trump provides all the material to make himself lose.
Good read and some good points.Im starting hope for a Biden nomination because of these candidates postions on immigration and illegal aliens.Warren was my first choice but than she said she would decriminalize illegal entry and give illegals free heathcare so she is not anymore.Im not a fan of Biden because of many of his previous votes and positions but he is looking like the only candidate not running for president for illegal aliens of America.Im starting to worry Dems could blow what should be a guaranteed victory in 2020.
Dick Morris has noted... when the Dems lose an election they expected to win, they go off the rails. They move sooooooo far left that their platform becomes ridiculous and they can't win another election until they move back towards the middle.... historically has taken about 20 years. That seems to be what's going on right now. We'll see.
The situation reminds me of what has happened in the UK. The Labour Party used to be the far left alternative to the Tories. The Tories, although nominally conservative, have policies similar to Obama. Labour became so unhinged that they are no longer a realistic alternative however, with a leader, Jeremy Corbin, who makes Bernie Sanders look like Ronald Reagan. The Tories do resemble the establishment Republicans here in that they are almost totally controlled by globalist bankers and corporate interests and make a practice of selling out their supporters. So frustrated Brits are now heavily supporting the nascent Brexit party, headed by Trump buddy Nigel Farage.
