Yeah, way too many of my trades end up being taken before my target or at my 1-tick profit guarding stop. That's better than taking a loss for sure, but it would be nice to be able to e.g. take one contract out at 5 ticks, move the stop up and let the other one run. Trading 2 contracts would help I think, but when I've tried to add size over the past few weeks I end up getting burned.

I suppose the idea is that, after being profitable with 1 contract, you can add a second, scale out and consequently be 2.5-3x as profitable.

  2. It depends on your style, some like to take a few handles more often, some like to take more small losers and wait for the homerun. The key is to be consistant with your style and not mix them up. The old joke is I am a scalper with winners and a position trader with losers. This is the kiss of death for an account. Don't eat like a bird and sh** like an elephant.

Back from lunch, has resting order for long position at 1339.75.

Surprised to see it has not been stopped out yet. Again all orders will be seen on the chart i post at the end of day. Consistency of calls on this journal will be proven.

Will hold this trade for bigger gains.

60 min trendline still holding but 15min looking slighlty stronger now. Might be a nice W on the 15min forming.

I feel the same way, i miss out on so many $'s trading only 1 contract but i guess i did not fare any better when i was trading too big.

I figure if your gonna make money doing this then you should be able to be consistent with 1 contract first and foremost.

    I love that quote lol

My system relies on big gains and many small losses. That's the only way i will have gains in the long run using this system.

My win ratio is but with the occasional home run it should more than make up for the many small losses.

Unfortunately my consistency in following the system is not great in the past as small losses would get to my psyche after awhile.

Well i do have decent patience when holding a trade but this is just weak action.

Even if we do breakout of this consolidation i don't really know how strong the move will be.

Moving stop up aggresively to bank some gains.
