I don't criticize you for following Libertarian principles. I think it's great. What I laugh at is when you say "As someone who is libertarian, I support big government" or something like that. Total hilarity when you support a position that is against the LP platform, and then couple it with a claim that you are speaking as one.

why don't you stop being a douche. Congress is not in session at the moment.
this is time for useful action from the executive branch... state dept... faa...

their job is to protect the citizens of this country... not just to shut down political opposition and arm jihadists in libya.

But, if scientific evidence is required, some additional research seems to provide that evidence, because as it turns out my theory that the Enterovirus came to America from Latin America (mainly Central America) is supported by a medical study conducted in 2013 at a U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit in Lima, Peru. The study, published in Virology Journal, was entitled “Human rhinoviruses and enteroviruses in influenza-like illness in Latin America.”

Although Enterovirus EV-D68 had not surfaced here in America in 40 years, the research team concluded that:

In Latin America as in other regions, [Human rhinovirus] HRVs and [Human Enterovirus] HEVs account for a substantial proportion of respiratory viruses identified in young people with ILI [influenza-like illness], a finding that provides additional support for the development of pharmaceuticals and vaccines targeting these pathogens.

A Long Beach child has been infected with enterovirus D-68 this week making it the first confirmed case of the virus in Los Angeles County.
Dr. David Michalik, a pediatric infectious disease specialist said that the child was critically ill and placed in the intensive care unit at Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach. Miller explained that the child, “Needed several breathing treatments to keep the airway open, needed frequent examinations and blood work to determine that everything was looking OK.”

CBS Los Angeles reported that the symptoms of enterovirus D-68 include rapid breathing, wheezing, runny nose, coughing and fatigue. This was the seventh case of enterovirus D-68 reported in California during September. The Center for Disease Control is investigating whether the virus is responsible for sudden paralysis symptoms in certain individuals who have fallen ill in Massachusetts and Colorado.

The AFP News Agency reported that the outbreak of enterovirus D68 in Colorado coincided with the hospitalization of nine children due to limb weakness since early August. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Monday that the nine children in Colorado "had respiratory illness and later developed neurologic illness."

The Long Beach child has now been sent home from the hospital and appears to be doing fine. The child’s age and gender were not disclosed.

Michalik said that he was not surprised by the case in L.A. County and added that “we expect more cases to come.”

  9. I have no way of knowing how big the threat of ebola is, and neither does anyone else, but if we get an epidemic in this country with thousands or more dying, there will be some hard questions asked. OK, obviously not by the mainstream media, who will keep silent unless they see a way to blame it on republicans, but by people like Ted Cruz and Megyn Kelly.

The first question obviously would be, why in the world didn't you quarantine travel from affected areas? No direct flights from countries with active outbreaks and anyone who has transitted their territory subject to mandatory 21 day quarantine.

We all know the reason obama hasn't done this. He and his administration feel it is unfair for africans to have to suffer things we don't suffer. It's part of his anti-colonialist obsession. He probably sees our desire to keep ebola out as a reflection of white privilege.

    its basic common sense.
liberals even get it correct in the movies.

the map with the red dots starts getting out of control.
the guys or hardass women president and the military and create quarantines.

people turn into zombies or explode... a nice guys saves a pretty girl and one gets infected....
    time runs out...

and just then the anti govt hero fights through the quarantine and saves the day.
