It is my belief, why do I need objective proof? My only claim is that anyone who wants proof can find it through the practice of faith, in the same way that someone who wants the proof of pudding can eat it. Free world, to each their own, everyone will be rewarded accordingly.
No one has evidence to the contrary either. I have my own experience, that is enough for me. There is, and can be no proof of experience, nor intention.
I agree 100%.....Faith is all I need as my proof. Just as Gordon has faith he will make it as a trader even though he hasnt seen the money......
No argument. It is your belief. My only contention is and was only that it is not 'the truth'. I only ever disagreed with definitive closed statements such as 'god is the truth'. Whereas 'I believe god is the truth' can't be denied. Also 'I believe god is not the truth' can't be denied. I may disagree with a substance but I would equally disagree if someone where to refuse such personal belief. I think that was always the point here.
When did I ever say my beliefs were "THE TRUTH?" I made no declaration beyond stating that one can verify the truth of what I am saying via the practice of faith.
True for me, and true for anyone who is willing to do the labwork. I state that it is true, and I have given a way to prove or disprove the truth of my statement. What more do you want? That you are unwilling or unable to do the "math" of belief, what can I say? If you were to state a definition of what is true that you would accept, you would probably require something that involved objective criteria. If that is you definition, that is the box you live in. Obviously, that is a small box. I choose not to confine my beliefs to such a small box. But, to each their own....one man's truth is another man's folly....depends on personal experience. There is no objective truth of personal experience, just that personal experience is common to all human beings. That people are having a personal experience, by definition, is a tautology. tautology n 1: (in logic) a statement that is necessarily true; Even an hallucination, a dream, or the vision of the Truth of God's existence is a personal experience. People may question whether or not that personal experience is valid for themselves or others, but that is where freedom of choice comes in. How to interpret is the free will we all have. This has not changed since the beginning of human experience, it is and will always be the case, it is a truth of life.
